Used 2025 Mazda CX-90 for Sale near British Columbia

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-90 cost?

Prices have softened 16.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 442 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 a good car?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 earns an expert rating of 6.2/10. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It stands out because Mazda gives you unusual powertrain choices for the segment, a stylish design, premium interior materials, and an entertaining driving character. Those strengths make it appealing if you want a family-size SUV that feels more upscale and more engaging than many rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: the base engine is underwhelming, the technology can be unintuitive, and the cabin packaging sacrifices some passenger and cargo space.

With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market flexibility if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 reliable?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is presented as a well-engineered SUV with strong safety credentials and a premium feel, but its refinement is less convincing than its design. Mazda’s own materials describe the drivetrain as less refined than expected, especially shortly after start-up, and note unpredictable power delivery and transmission behaviour until it warms up.

The performance notes also point to a general lack of isolation from noise and impact harshness, along with a fussy electronic shifter. On the positive side, Mazda includes two years of complimentary Mazda Connected Services, which helps ownership feel a bit more generous up front.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the CX-90’s drivetrain and technology quirks may be more noticeable as the vehicle ages and accumulates kilometres.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin and feature set become more upscale as you move up the range, but the base trims miss some of the richer materials and convenience features that help the CX-90 feel premium.
• Powertrain: You can shop standard-output and high-output 3.3-litre turbocharged inline-six versions, plus a plug-in hybrid. The standard engine makes 280 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, while the high-output version delivers 319 hp and 369 lb-ft.
• Safety package: Mazda’s standard suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims add steering assist for blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: Higher trims can bring a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, but the native Mazda Connect system is not touchscreen-operated. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, and the screen is touch-sensitive only when you use those smartphone integrations.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 9.3 L/100 km combined for the standard-output engine, 9.5 L/100 km combined for the high-output version, and 9.4 L/100 km combined for the plug-in hybrid once the battery is depleted.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-90 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is offered in 5 trim levels: GS-L, GS, GT, GT-P, and Signature.

Here's the short version:

• GS-L: This is the entry point if you want the CX-90’s core strengths without stretching too far on price. It gives you the model’s premium design, standard safety equipment, and the unusual three-row Mazda character in its most accessible form.
• GS: This trim is the sensible step-up choice if you want a better balance of equipment and value. It should suit you if you want more comfort and convenience without chasing the most expensive luxury touches.
• GT: This is the best-value trim if you want a more polished feel without going all the way to the top. It sits in the sweet spot for shoppers who want a richer experience but still care about keeping the purchase rational.
• GT-P: Choose this if you want the high-output 3.3 Turbo powertrain, since it is standard here. It is the right pick if stronger performance matters more to you than value.
• Signature: This is the trim to buy if you want the most upscale CX-90 experience, including the richest cabin presentation and the most premium-feeling equipment.

Mazda adds more advanced safety equipment as you move up the trim ladder, and Cruising and Traffic Support is available on higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 442 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,159 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-90's resale value?

The current average of $42,159 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,670 CAD.

That price movement suggests the CX-90 has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help demand from shoppers who want a premium-feeling three-row SUV at a lower entry point. For a future seller, it also means you may need to price competitively if you want to stand out in a market where values have already eased. If you buy well now, you may be better positioned to absorb some depreciation later.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is one of only four midsize, three-row, gas-powered SUVs to receive a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and the gas-only models get four-star ratings in frontal-impact testing from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda equips the CX-90 with a long list of standard driver aids, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims add steering assist to blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Cruising and Traffic Support is available on higher trims as well, pairing adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist for hands-on highway driving.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.80% compared with last year.
• It combines unusual powertrain choices with strong safety credentials and a more upscale feel than many rivals.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,278 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $42,159 CAD average.
• It is a three-row crossover with excellent handling and a driver-focused character.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger market context and the CX-90’s distinctive mix of style, safety, and driving enjoyment. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 is the better value play, especially if you want similar core appeal for less money.
