Used 2025 Mazda CX-90 for Sale nearNewmarket, ON

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-90 cost?

Prices have softened 18.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 413 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 a good car?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 earns an expert rating of 6.17/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It stands out in the midsize three-row SUV segment because it offers unusual powertrain choices and a more upscale feel than many family SUVs. The stylish design and premium interior materials help it feel more luxurious than its mainstream rivals, and it is described as entertaining to drive.

The trade-offs are clear: the base engine is underwhelming, the cabin can be noisy, and the technology is unintuitive.

With its family-size packaging and more engaging character, it suits you best if you want a three-row SUV that feels more premium and more fun than the usual choice. 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 reliable?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is presented as a well-built, safety-focused SUV with premium materials and a strong emphasis on driver confidence. Its safety ratings and standard driver aids support that impression, and the powertrain lineup is broad enough to give you choices.

The performance notes point to a mixed ownership experience: the drivetrain can feel unrefined at startup, power delivery and transmission behaviour can be unpredictable until warmed up, and the vehicle can react in ways that feel abrupt in traffic. That said, Mazda’s tuning still delivers strong ride-and-handling balance once you settle into it.

You also get two years of complimentary Mazda Connected Services, which is a useful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the CX-90’s refinement issues and technology frustrations may matter more as the vehicle ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CX-90’s trims can include GS-L, GS, GT, GT-P, and Signature. The lower trims use a smaller infotainment screen, while the higher trims bring a more upscale cabin presentation and more equipment.
• Powertrain: You can shop standard-output and high-output 3.3 Turbo versions, plus a plug-in hybrid. The standard engine makes 280 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, while the high-output version makes 319 hp and 369 lb-ft, or 340 hp on premium gas. The plug-in hybrid is rated at 42 kilometres of electric range.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims add steering assist for blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: Higher trims use a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, while lower trims have a smaller display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, but the native Mazda Connect system is controlled through the centre-console knob and buttons rather than touchscreen input.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 9.3 litres per 100 kilometres combined with the standard-output engine and 9.5 L/100 km combined with the high-output version. The plug-in hybrid is rated at 9.4 L/100 km combined once the battery is depleted.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-90 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is offered in 5 trim levels: GS-L, GS, GT, GT-P, and Signature.

Here's the short version:

• GS-L: This is the entry point if you want the CX-90’s core safety equipment and upscale design without stretching to the pricier trims. It makes the most sense if you value the CX-90’s style and standard driver aids more than extra luxury features.
• GS: Choose this if you want a step up in equipment while staying relatively close to the lower end of the range. It should appeal if you want a balanced mix of value and the CX-90’s premium feel.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it moves you into a more premium experience without jumping all the way to the top. It suits you if you want a stronger blend of comfort, features, and price.
• GT-P: Pick this if you want the high-output 3.3 Turbo, since that engine is standard here. It is the right choice if stronger performance matters more to you than keeping costs down.
• Signature: This is the most luxurious choice, with the richest presentation and the most upscale cabin feel. It suits you if you want the CX-90 at its most premium and are willing to pay for it.

As you move up the range, Mazda adds more advanced safety equipment, including steering assist for blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 413 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.38% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,055 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-90's resale value?

The current average of $43,055 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,749 CAD.

That price movement suggests the CX-90 has become more accessible for used buyers than it was a year ago. If you buy at today’s average or below, you may have less downside risk than someone who bought when prices were higher. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on trim, condition, and equipment than on broad market momentum.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is one of only four midsize, three-row, gas-powered SUVs to receive a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and the CX-90 PHEV earns five-star ratings in all crash tests conducted by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, as well as a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims add steering assist to blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

One caveat is that the gas-only CX-90 models get four-star ratings in frontal-impact testing.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.38% compared with last year.
• It combines unusual powertrain choices with premium styling and strong safety.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,887 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $43,055 CAD average.
• It offers brilliant handling and a sporty feel.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger current-market mix of pricing, safety, and premium appeal. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the better value path, especially if you care most about driving enjoyment.
