Used 2025 Mazda CX-5 for Sale nearInnisfil, ON

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-5 cost?

Prices have softened 2.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 867 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-5 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Mazda CX-5 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out as a sporty compact SUV that gives you practicality without giving up driving enjoyment, and it does so in an attractive, upscale package. The cabin materials and layout feel more premium than many rivals, while the driving character is tuned for confidence and engagement rather than pure utility.

The trade-offs are clear: rear-seat space, cargo capacity, and fuel economy are all weaker than what you’ll find in more practical competitors. If you want a more engaging drive and a more premium feel, those compromises may be acceptable.

With 18.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-5’s appeal is reinforced by its refined feel, strong driving dynamics, and the fact that its systems operated as expected during testing. Its standard all-wheel drive and composed chassis also support the sense that it is built to handle everyday use with confidence.

The performance side is straightforward: you get a choice of two engines, both paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and the base engine is described as adequate for most drivers. The turbocharged version adds noticeably more confidence and ease, which can matter if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul.

If you buy used, the main ownership risk is that its efficiency and practicality limitations may feel more noticeable over time than mechanical durability concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you keyless entry and heated front seats, while the GS adds dual-zone climate control and synthetic leather seat upholstery. Higher trims bring a more luxurious feel, so the best value depends on how much comfort equipment you want.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and a Turbo model. The base engine is adequate for most drivers, while the Turbo delivers much stronger acceleration and a more confident feel.
• Safety package: Every trim includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. The GT adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and Cruise & Traffic Assist, while the Turbo Signature adds a 360-degree camera, a driver attention monitor, and front and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: All models get a 10.25-inch infotainment display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but lower trims require a USB cable; the midrange Premium Plus trim adds wireless phone integration and a wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: The base engine is estimated at 10.2 L/100 km in city driving, 8.2 on the highway, and 9.3 combined. With cylinder deactivation on some trims, those figures improve to 9.1 city, 7.7 highway, and 8.5 combined. The Turbo engine is rated at 10.8 city, 8.7 highway, and 9.8 combined.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-5 is offered in 4 trim levels: GX, GS, GT, Turbo Signature.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core CX-5 experience with keyless entry, heated front seats, standard all-wheel drive, and the full safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• GS: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds dual-zone climate control and synthetic leather seat upholstery without pushing you into the pricier upper end of the range.
• GT: This trim adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and Cruise & Traffic Assist, making it a strong choice if you want more convenience and a more premium daily driving experience.
• Turbo Signature: This is the most luxurious and most fully equipped version, with the 360-degree camera, driver attention monitor, front and rear parking sensors, and the strongest sense of refinement.

All CX-5 trim levels come standard with basic advanced safety features, so even the entry trim gives you a solid safety foundation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 18.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 867 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.93% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,469 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-5's resale value?

The current average of $36,068 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,156 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the CX-5 is currently more accessible to used buyers than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same pricing strength that existed previously, especially if market conditions stay soft.

Even so, the CX-5’s premium feel and strong appeal among shoppers who value driving enjoyment can help support demand. Well-equipped examples and trims with stronger feature content should remain easier to market than bare-bones versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-5 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-5 earns five-star ratings in all NHTSA evaluations except rollover protection, where it receives a four-star rating. It scores well in IIHS crash tests, but its standard collision avoidance system, Smart City Brake Support Front, receives a Poor rating.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Every trim comes with forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. The GT adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and Cruise & Traffic Assist, while the Turbo Signature adds a 360-degree camera, a driver attention monitor, and front and rear parking sensors.

That Poor-rated collision avoidance result is the main caveat to keep in mind, even though the rest of the safety package is comprehensive.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 18.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends sporty driving feel with an upscale cabin while still offering standard all-wheel drive.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $32,536 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $36,068 CAD average.
• It remains a polished, enjoyable compact crossover with strong safety and a comfortable cabin.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It brings a full redesign with a more modern look, more space, and standard Google built-in.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of style, driving enjoyment, and current-market value, the 2025 is the safer all-around pick. If price is your top priority, the 2024 is the better bargain. If you want the newest design and more technology, the 2026 is the upgrade path to watch.
