Used 2025 Mazda CX-5 for Sale nearDSL de Drummond, NB

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-5 cost?

Prices have softened 2.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 913 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-5 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Mazda CX-5 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out as a compact SUV that blends practicality with a genuinely enjoyable driving experience, and it presents itself as an attractive and upscale alternative if you do not want to give up driving enjoyment just because you need more utility. Its stylish design and premium interior materials help reinforce that more polished feel.

The trade-offs are clear: it falls short in practical areas such as fuel economy and cargo space, and the rear seats are not as spacious as those in rivals.

There are 19.6% of listings priced as good or great deals, which points to a decent amount of market opportunity.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-5’s reliability case is helped by its mature design, continuous refinement, and the fact that its systems operated as they should during the expert test drive. The driving experience also feels well sorted, with the adaptive cruise control smoothly adjusting speed to maintain a consistent gap to cars in front.

The base engine is described as adequate for most drivers, and the cabin is quiet enough to reduce fatigue on longer journeys. If you want a maintenance perk, the first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its above-average fuel consumption and tighter packaging can make it less appealing over time than roomier, more efficient rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim comes with keyless entry and heated front seats, while the GS adds dual-zone climate control and synthetic leather seat upholstery. Higher trims bring a more luxurious feel, so you should check whether the features you want are standard or trim-specific.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 187 horsepower or a Turbo model with 256 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. The base engine is adequate for most drivers, while the Turbo feels more confident and easier to accelerate with.
• Safety package: All trim levels include forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. The GT adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and Cruise & Traffic Assist, while the Turbo Signature adds a 360-degree camera, a driver attention monitor, and front and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 10.25-inch infotainment display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless phone integration is limited to the midrange Premium Plus trim, which also adds a wireless charging pad. Premium Plus and above also get a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The base engine is estimated at 10.2 L/100 km in city driving, 8.2 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.3 L/100 km combined. With cylinder deactivation on some trims, those figures improve to 9.1 L/100 km city, 7.7 L/100 km highway, and 8.5 L/100 km combined. The Turbo engine is rated at 10.8 L/100 km city, 8.7 L/100 km highway, and 9.8 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-5 is offered in 5 trim levels: GX, GS, GT, Premium Plus, Turbo Signature.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core CX-5 experience with keyless entry, heated front seats, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• GS: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds dual-zone climate control and synthetic leather seat upholstery without jumping all the way to the pricier performance-focused models.
• GT: This trim adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and Cruise & Traffic Assist, so it suits you if you want a more polished daily driver with extra convenience.
• Premium Plus: This is the trim to target if you want wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and a head-up display as standard.
• Turbo Signature: This is the most luxurious and best-equipped version, with a 360-degree camera, a driver attention monitor, front and rear parking sensors, genuine leather upholstery, and upgraded trim elements.

The GT trim adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and Cruise & Traffic Assist, while the Turbo Signature adds the most complete safety and convenience package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 19.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 913 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.35% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,469 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-5's resale value?

The current average of $35,862 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,724 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the CX-5 is not currently in a rising-value phase, so future sellers may need to be realistic about what the market will bear. The year-over-year decline also hints that buyers have some leverage, which can cap resale gains in the near term.

Even so, the CX-5’s upscale feel and strong driving appeal should help it remain desirable among shoppers who value style and engagement. That can support resale strength better than a more ordinary compact SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-5 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-5 earns five-star ratings in all NHTSA evaluations except rollover protection, where it receives a four-star rating. It scores well in IIHS crash tests, but its standard collision avoidance system, Smart City Brake Support Front, receives a Poor rating.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

All CX-5 trim levels come standard with forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. The GT trim adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and Cruise & Traffic Assist, while the Turbo Signature adds a 360-degree camera, a driver attention monitor, and front and rear parking sensors.

That Poor-rated collision avoidance result is the main safety caveat to keep in mind if you are comparing it with rivals that have stronger active-safety performance.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 19.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the CX-5 formula focused on style, premium materials, and enjoyable driving.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $32,230 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $35,862 CAD average.
• It offers a polished, mature feel with strong safety and excellent outward visibility.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It brings a striking redesign, standard all-wheel drive, and Google built-in.
• It is longer, wider, and more spacious than before.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, strong satisfaction, and the familiar CX-5 driving character, the 2025 is the safe pick. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the smarter value play. If you want the newest design and more space, the 2026 is the better direction.
