How much does the 2025 Lexus IS cost?

Is the 2025 Lexus IS a good car?

The 2025 Lexus IS stands out as a compact luxury sports sedan that appeals to you if you want something fun to drive without moving up to a larger, pricier model. It is the entry-level model in the Lexus lineup, and its comparatively low price point and compact proportions help explain why it has often attracted younger buyers.

It is also described as a good fit if you are a young professional or someone who rarely brings passengers, since the back seat is really tight and the car is less practical for families. Even so, its mix of sporty character, easy-to-use technology, and standard advanced safety features gives it a clear identity in the used luxury sedan market.

With 17.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Lexus IS reliable?

The 2025 Lexus IS is presented as part of a long-running third generation that brought a radically new design, better interior space, and a revamped infotainment system. It also benefits from standard luxury features and a broad set of available safety technologies, which adds to its appeal as a used luxury sedan.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you may still be living with the model’s practical compromises, especially its tight rear seat, limited cargo space, and poor fuel economy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 17.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 70 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $54,343 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $55,814 CAD sits slightly below last year's $59,553 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased for buyers, which can also mean a future seller may need to be more realistic on asking price. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The model’s used-market appeal should still benefit from its sporty character and entry-luxury positioning.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 17.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.28% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 Lexus IS makes sense if you want an entry-level luxury sports sedan with a clear personality and you are comfortable with its tighter rear seat and limited practicality. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar ownership experience for less, but the 2025 is the better path if you want to shop a market that has already softened and still offers some deal opportunities.
