Is the 2025 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2025 Kia Sportage, and its appeal comes from a broad powertrain lineup, everyday practicality, and a more upscale feature set than many shoppers might expect. You can choose a conventional gasoline model, a hybrid, or a plug-in hybrid depending on whether you prioritise price, efficiency, or performance. It also offers a long list of comfort, convenience, and safety equipment, plus available all-wheel drive and rugged X-Line styling if you want a more adventurous look.

With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of attractive options to consider.

Is the 2025 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sportage’s broad equipment list and practical design suggest it is built to serve as a versatile daily driver, especially if you value comfort and flexibility. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing the wrong powertrain or trim for your needs, since the lineup ranges from efficient to more expensive and less economical versions.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you are comparing listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 539 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.59% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,643 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $33,054 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,767 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably today, but it also means future resale values may be shaped by where the market settles next. If prices stabilise, a well-kept Sportage bought near the lower end of the range could hold up reasonably well. Strong equipment and broad appeal should help keep it relevant with used shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $36,994 CAD, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $33,054 CAD average.
• It brings revised styling and a more modern overall look.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the better value and more room to negotiate. Consider the 2026 if refreshed styling matters more to you than price, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2025.
