How much does the 2025 Kia Sportage cost?

Is the 2025 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2025 Kia Sportage, and its appeal comes from a broad powertrain lineup, everyday practicality, and an upscale-feeling feature set for the class. You get a conventional gasoline model, a hybrid, and a plug-in hybrid, so you can prioritise price, efficiency, or performance depending on your needs. It also brings a long list of comfort, convenience, and safety equipment, plus available all-wheel drive and a rugged X-Line option for buyers who want a more adventurous look. With 35.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Kia Sportage’s appeal is built around versatility, standard equipment, and a wide range of powertrain choices rather than a single standout mechanical gimmick. Its broad feature set and available all-wheel drive should make it an easy vehicle to live with if you want a compact SUV that can handle daily commuting and family duties. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing the wrong version for your needs, since the base gasoline model is less efficient and the plug-in hybrid is the priciest.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 523 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,643 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $32,964 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,654 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can put some pressure on future resale expectations if you sell too soon. On the other hand, the Sportage’s broad appeal, multiple powertrain choices, and strong equipment list should help it stay relevant with used shoppers. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should still have a solid audience when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• Revised styling gives it a fresher look.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, choice, and current market softness, the 2025 is the better buy. If you care more about updated styling and are willing to pay for the newer model, the 2026 is the better path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2025 deserves a close look because the market is offering more room to negotiate.
