How much does the 2025 Kia Seltos cost?

Is the 2025 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2025 Kia Seltos stands out as a subcompact crossover that aims to feel bigger and more polished than its footprint suggests. It offers a surprisingly premium interior for the price, a larger footprint than some rivals, and a practical cabin with generous passenger and cargo space for a vehicle of this size.

It also brings sharper styling, improved interior materials, a revised turbocharged engine, and a new eight-speed torque converter automatic. For shoppers who want a small SUV with a more rugged personality, intuitive controls, and a thoughtfully executed feel, it makes a strong case.

35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2025 Kia Seltos benefits from added safety equipment, including forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist. It also keeps the model’s refined chassis, intuitive controls, and practical packaging front and centre.

The main trade-offs are that it is not the quietest choice and the base engine is described as underpowered. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about living with those compromises than expecting a major surprise.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 752 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,877 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $27,877 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,874 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means the market has already adjusted downward. If you plan to sell later, your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well the vehicle holds its condition and how the broader market moves from here.

For a future seller, the current trend suggests less upside than a year ago. If prices stabilise, you may recover value more predictably; if they keep easing, resale returns could remain under pressure.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.54% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,110 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $27,877 CAD average.
• It offers useful space, easy-to-use technology, and a strong list of standard safety features.

The 2025 is the better pick if you want the refreshed styling, updated hardware, and the strongest current-market shopping conditions. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Seltos' practical strengths.
