Used 2025 Hyundai Sonata for Sale near Markstay, ON

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Sonata cost?

Prices have softened 13.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 104 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Sonata a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Hyundai Sonata earns a 4/5 user rating and a 9/10 expert rating, which points to a strong overall package. The model scores 10/10 across Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The Sonata is aimed at you if you want a family sedan that feels secure without giving up comfort, and the overview also highlights its value-focused character. The expert assessment backs that up, noting that the car’s standout strengths are its value and safety ratings, while the N Line adds a sportier personality for drivers who want more excitement.

The main trade-offs are that the design may not suit everyone and the N Line’s fuel economy is a weakness. If you want a comfortable, safe, and well-equipped midsize sedan, the Sonata fits that brief well; if you want the most engaging option, the N Line is the version to consider.

30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a healthy sign that there are worthwhile examples in the market.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Sonata reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sonata’s reliability case is supported by its value-oriented positioning, strong safety credentials, and the expert view that it remains competitive after its 2024 refresh. The performance notes also point to a well-rounded powertrain lineup, with the base engine described as unremarkable but adequate, and the N Line’s turbocharged setup delivering strong performance.

Beyond that, every 2025 Hyundai Sonata offers a five-year, 100,000-kilometre warranty and five years of complimentary roadside assistance with no kilometre limit, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is that the sportier N Line’s higher-performance hardware and poorer fuel economy may make it costlier to live with than the standard model.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Sonata?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2025 Sonata comes in Preferred-Trend and N Line trim levels. The Preferred-Trend is the value-focused choice, while the N Line adds a darker, more distinctive cabin, red accents, metal pedal covers, and a more emotional personality. The base trim’s black leather and simpler presentation make it the one to inspect closely if you want the best mix of price and equipment.
• Powertrain: The Preferred-Trend uses a 191-horsepower, 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, with AWD available. The N Line switches to a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 290 hp and 311 pound-feet of torque, paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only. The N Line is the choice if you want the strongest acceleration and a more engaging drive.
• Safety package: Every 2025 Sonata has standard advanced driver assistance systems, including forward collision warning with intersection assist, pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Highway Driving Assist is standard on the N Line, and it combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist.
• Infotainment: All models have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, voice recognition, and Bluetooth for two smartphones at once. Bluelink is standard, and the N Line adds a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, navigation, wireless charging, digital key technology, and an 8-speaker Bose premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The N Line is rated at 8.8 L/100 km in combined driving, though testing returned 12.6 L/100 km. The standard engine is described as unremarkable, while the N Line’s fuel economy is a clear compromise for its performance.

Which 2025 Hyundai Sonata trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Sonata is offered in 2 trim levels: Preferred-Trend and N Line.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred-Trend: This is the trim to target if you want the Sonata’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. It gives you the standard safety suite, the 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and the available AWD option, making it the best-value pick for most shoppers.
• N Line: Choose this if you want the Sonata’s most powerful and entertaining version. It adds the turbocharged 290-hp engine, DCT transmission, sport-tuned suspension, larger wheels, digital instrumentation, navigation, wireless charging, digital key technology, Bose audio, and Highway Driving Assist. It is the enthusiast choice, but you should be comfortable with its fuel-economy trade-off.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, while Highway Driving Assist is specific to the N Line.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Sonata?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,871 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Sonata's resale value?

The current average of $31,885 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,829 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sonata has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help future sellers attract attention if they price competitively. The current market also shows a fairly tight spread between the year-round low and high, which means condition, trim, and equipment should matter a lot when you eventually resell.

Because the model has strong safety credentials and broad appeal as a comfortable family sedan, it should remain easy to explain to future shoppers. The N Line may appeal to a narrower audience, but its performance character can also help it stand out if it is priced appropriately.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Sonata safe?

The 2025 Sonata earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and five-star crash-test ratings in nearly every NHTSA assessment, including rollover resistance. It also earns four-star ratings in driver-side frontal-impact protection and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Sonata has standard advanced driver assistance systems, including forward collision warning with intersection assist, pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Highway Driving Assist is standard on the N Line and adds adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist.

The key caveat is that the improved IIHS result applies to 2025 Sonatas manufactured after November 2024, so build timing matters if you are comparing used examples.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Sonata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• Expert or safety highlight specific to this year from the expert summary: the 2025 Sonata improved its safety rating and now earns a Top Safety Pick+ designation, while the N Line adds a notably powerful and sporty option.

The bottom line: If safety, value, and a well-equipped cabin matter most, the 2025 Sonata is the stronger buy because it combines a lower used-market price with improved crash-test performance and broad standard equipment. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully for a lower-mileage example near the bottom of the range, but the 2025 model year is the one to prioritise if you want the best balance of safety and value.
