Used 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz for Sale near South Carolina

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz cost?

Prices have softened 9.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 137 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz a good car?

The Santa Cruz earns an 8/10 expert rating, and it fits best if you want a small truck for weekend DIY projects, hauling bulky items, and carrying adventure gear on day trips.

The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

It brings impressive technology and a great warranty, and it is described as fun to drive. The trade-offs are clear: on-pavement handling suffers with all-terrain tyres, the back seat is cramped, and cargo space is limited.

With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz reliable?

The Santa Cruz is presented as a well-supported small truck with a strong warranty, and its turbocharged engine runs on regular gas instead of premium.

Its expert notes also point to a capable, easy-to-live-with package that is fun to drive and backed by useful technology. The maintenance and ownership picture is helped by the brand’s warranty coverage, which adds peace of mind for used buyers.

The main long-term ownership risk is that its more complex hardware and truck-like use case can make condition and maintenance history especially important on the used market.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Preferred, XRT, and Ultimate. The XRT adds a more pickup-like look, an improved approach angle, and standard all-terrain tyres, while the Ultimate is the better pick if you want stronger on-road manners and more equipment.
• Powertrain: All trims use a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with standard all-wheel drive. The turbo engine makes strong power, but the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic can feel quirky and contribute to turbo lag and uneven delivery.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist. The XRT adds intersection collision braking, a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, and adaptive cruise control with automatic speed adjustment for curves. The Ultimate adds Highway Driving Assist.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluelink connected services, and over-the-air software updates. Wireless smartphone charging is standard on the XRT and Ultimate.
• Fuel efficiency: The Preferred and Ultimate are rated at 10.7 L/100 km combined, while the XRT is rated at 11.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz is offered in 3 trim levels: Preferred, XRT, and Ultimate.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Santa Cruz formula: standard all-wheel drive, the turbocharged engine, and the full 12.3-inch infotainment setup. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the model.
• XRT: This is the most distinctive trim, with the more rugged styling, improved approach angle, all-terrain tyres, and extra camera and driver-assistance features. It is the best fit if you want the off-road-flavoured look and equipment.
• Ultimate: This is the best-value trim if you care most about everyday driving comfort and the richest feature set. It adds Highway Driving Assist and is the trim the experts would choose over the XRT for better on-road driving dynamics.

The XRT and Ultimate also get the standard wireless charging feature, while the Ultimate adds Highway Driving Assist.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz's resale value?

The current average of $38,252 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,454 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the used market has become more favourable for buyers than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may need to price competitively if you want strong attention. It also means well-kept examples with desirable equipment should stand out more clearly than average ones.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz safe?

The Santa Cruz earns a Marginal rating in the latest moderate overlap frontal-impact assessment from IIHS, and its driver-assistance technologies receive the same rating for front-crash prevention. It earns five-star ratings in each NHTSA collision evaluation and a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist. The XRT adds intersection collision braking, a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, and adaptive cruise control with automatic speed adjustment for curves. Highway Driving Assist is standard on the Ultimate.

The IIHS results are the main caution here, especially if you want the strongest possible crash-avoidance performance.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.90% compared with last year.
• It adds new tech, styling updates, and off-roading enhancements.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,129 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $38,252 CAD average.
• It offers the same quirky utility and strong warranty appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the most up-to-date Santa Cruz with the strongest tech and feature set. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play because it delivers much of the same character for less money.
