Used 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric for Sale near Sarnia, ON

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric cost?

Prices have softened 9.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 58 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric a good car?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric earns an 8.33/10 expert rating, and it is positioned as Hyundai’s smallest EV with a strong value focus, fresh styling, and a generous feature set.

The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It is aimed at buyers who want an electric crossover that keeps the starting price approachable while still feeling competent and comfortable. The trade-offs are clear: acceleration is described as slightly slower than some alternatives, and all-wheel drive is not available. Even so, the overall package is practical rather than flashy, and that suits shoppers who care more about value and everyday usability than outright pace.

There are 32.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric reliable?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric is presented as a competent, comfortable EV with a quiet cabin, a comfortable ride, and a battery pre-conditioning system that helps prepare for DC fast charging.

Its electric-drive setup is straightforward, with front-wheel drive only, and the battery and charging hardware are covered by an eight-year, 160,000-kilometre warranty in Canada. The expert evaluation also highlights that it is a decent option for buyers looking for an affordable battery-powered SUV, even if it is not the quickest or longest-range choice in its class.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about making sure the battery and charging system have been cared for properly, especially if the vehicle has seen frequent public fast charging.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Canadian lineup centres on the Preferred base model, with Trend, Ultimate, and N Line Ultimate packages adding equipment. The base version is the one to scrutinise most closely for feature gaps, since higher packages add comfort and convenience upgrades.
• Powertrain: You get front-wheel drive only, a 64.8-kWh battery pack, 201 hp, and 291 lb-ft of torque. It is tuned more for commuting than quick launches, and the N Line Ultimate package trades some range for its larger wheels.
• Safety package: Every version includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, safe exit warning, a driver attention monitor, and Highway Driving Assist. The Ultimate and N Line Ultimate packages add parking aids, a surround-view camera system, parking alerts, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Blind View Monitor.
• Infotainment: You get dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and native navigation. The Ultimate and N Line Ultimate packages add wireless device charging, while all versions but the base model have Hyundai’s Digital Key.
• Range & charging: The Kona Electric can travel up to 420 kilometres on a charge, and the N Line Ultimate package is rated at 370 kilometres. DC fast charging takes more than 40 minutes from 10% to 80%, while home charging should take about five to six hours.
• Battery health: Check the battery’s state of health, ask how often the car has been DC fast charged versus charged at home, and confirm that the battery warranty coverage still remains. A used EV with mostly home charging and a healthy battery history is usually the safer bet.

Which 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred, Trend, Ultimate, and N Line Ultimate.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you the core EV hardware plus the standard safety and tech suite. If you want the lowest entry price and can live without the extra convenience features, this is the one to start with.
• Trend: This is the best-value upgrade for many shoppers because it adds leatherette seating and more upscale cabin feel without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• Ultimate: Choose this if you want the more complete convenience package, including wireless device charging and the parking aids that make the Kona Electric easier to live with day to day.
• N Line Ultimate: Pick this only if you specifically want the sportier appearance package with unique wheels, fasciae, and bumper treatment, while accepting the reduced range.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but the Ultimate and N Line Ultimate packages add the most useful parking and visibility features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric?

The market looks moderately favourable for selective buyers, especially if you are willing to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 58 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,077 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric's resale value?

The current average of $38,547 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,805 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Kona Electric has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may benefit from the softer market, but resale strength will depend on how closely your asking price matches current inventory and condition. For a seller, the key is to present a clean history, strong battery health, and a trim level that buyers actually want.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.95% compared with last year.
• The 2025 model year’s expert summary points to a redesigned second-generation Kona EV with more features and value, plus a strong value proposition for cost-conscious buyers.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, features, and current market softness, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
