Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Hyundai Kona Electric?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 69 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.21% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,286 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Hyundai Kona Electric's resale value?

The current average of $26,484 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,171 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, buying near the lower end of the current range can help protect your position. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Kona Electric or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,648 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,484 CAD average.
• It offers approachable EV value with a freshened 2022 update.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and deal availability. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better secondary path and may deliver the value-focused case you want.
