Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $37,843 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $32,683 CAD average.
• Fresh styling and more features make it a stronger value-focused update.

The bottom line: If you want the better price today, the 2024 is the smarter starting point. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer model’s styling and feature set, the 2025 is the better alternative; price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2024 and look for listings near the low end of the range.
