How much does the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 12.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid a good car?

Yes — you get a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for shoppers who want an affordable compact car with a hybrid powertrain. The 2025 Civic Hybrid’s strongest case is efficiency, and it also benefits from a slight styling refresh and new features while staying available in sedan or hatchback body styles.

The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The main trade-off is that all-wheel drive is not available, so it may not suit you if extra traction is a priority. The hybrid setup is also framed more around comfort and everyday usability than sporty driving.

28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Civic Hybrid is described as a comfortable, affordable compact car with a smooth and quiet hybrid driving character. Its powertrain is presented as more responsive than the outgoing setup, and the transition between electric and gasoline power is described as almost seamless. That kind of refinement usually helps a used car feel less worn over time.

The hybrid system is also expected to improve fuel economy meaningfully versus the outgoing turbo powertrain, which can reduce day-to-day operating strain. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you are still buying a hybrid system, so you should pay close attention to service history and how the car has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is already one of the nicest in the class, but higher trim levels add a digital instrument panel and a more high-tech feel. The hatchback hybrid version also brings a sleeker profile and more distinctive taillights, while the interior remains mostly unchanged overall.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. It is described as more responsive, with smooth and quiet power delivery and seamless transitions between electric and gasoline operation.
• Safety package: Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The top Touring trim adds automatic braking at parking lot speeds, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
• Infotainment: The base LX gets a seven-inch touchscreen, an eight-speaker audio system, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top Sport Touring Hybrid adds a nine-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, wireless smartphone integration, a wireless charging pad, and Google Built-in.
• Fuel efficiency: Honda estimates 4.8 L/100 km and 5.0 L/100 km combined for the sedan and hatchback hybrid models respectively. The hybrid is also expected to save 2 L/100 km on average in combined driving versus the outgoing turbo powertrain.

Which 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• Sport Hybrid: This is the entry point to the hybrid lineup and the best-value choice if you want the new hybrid powertrain without paying for the top trim’s extra technology and luxury features.
• Sport Touring Hybrid: This is the better pick if you want the most complete Civic Hybrid experience, since it adds the larger touchscreen, digital instrument panel, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, Bose audio, and Google Built-in.

The top Touring trim also extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 315 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,569 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $32,569 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,169 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal for future resale. On one hand, it may make the car easier to buy now, but it also means a seller may face more competition from similarly priced listings if the market stays soft. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

The Civic Hybrid’s strong efficiency and broad appeal should help keep it attractive to used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid safe?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns five-star ratings in overall, side, and rollover protection, and four-star ratings for frontal collisions from NHTSA. It also earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's highest honour, Top Safety Pick+.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The top Touring trim adds automatic braking at parking lot speeds, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.

One caveat is that the IIHS rated forward crash prevention as Acceptable and seatbelt reminders as Marginal, so those are worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a new hybrid model to the Civic lineup, along with a slight styling refresh and new features.

The bottom line: If you want the Civic Hybrid with the new powertrain, improved fuel economy, and updated styling, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, it makes sense to focus on the lower end of the current market range and compare listings carefully before moving quickly on a well-priced example.
