How much does the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 12.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 352 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.5/5 user-rated car with an expert rating of 7.17/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid adds a new hybrid option to the Civic lineup, bringing more power and significantly improved fuel economy. It also gets a slight styling refresh and new features, which help reinforce its appeal as an affordable and attractive compact car. You can choose either sedan or hatchback body styles, so it gives you useful flexibility if you want to balance passenger space and cargo needs.

The main trade-offs are that all-wheel drive is not available, and the hybrid’s appeal is strongest if you value efficiency and comfort over maximum versatility. The market also shows 26.7% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile listings to find.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Civic Hybrid is positioned as an efficient, comfortable compact car, and the expert evaluation highlights a smooth, quiet powertrain and a polished driving experience. The hybrid system is described as seamless in how it blends electric and gasoline power, and the ride quality is tuned to favour comfort over sporty cornering. That combination usually points to a car that should be easy to live with over time.

The cost-effectiveness notes also suggest the hybrid can make sense if you plan to keep it for several years, since fuel savings can offset the higher purchase price. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you’re still giving up all-wheel drive, so your suitability depends on whether front-wheel drive fits your driving conditions.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is mostly unchanged and already one of the nicest in the class, but higher trim levels add a digital instrument panel for a more high-tech feel. The top trim also brings more luxury and technology, so you should check whether the extra equipment matters to you.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. It is expected to save 2 litres per 100 kilometres on average in combined driving versus the outgoing turbo powertrain, and the power delivery is described as responsive and seamless.
• Safety package: Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The top trim extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.
• Infotainment: The base LX includes a seven-inch touchscreen, an eight-speaker audio system, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top Sport Touring Hybrid adds a digital instrument panel, a larger nine-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, wireless smartphone integration, a wireless charging pad, and Google Built-in.
• Fuel efficiency: Honda estimates 4.8 L/100 km combined for the sedan and 5.0 L/100 km combined for the hatchback. Natural Resources Canada also estimates annual fuel costs of $1,519 CAD for the Civic Hybrid sedan.

Which 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• Sport Hybrid: This is the better-value choice if you want the hybrid powertrain and the core Civic Hybrid experience without stretching to the top trim. It gives you the efficiency and extra power that define this model year, while keeping the purchase more accessible.
• Sport Touring Hybrid: This is the trim to choose if you want the most complete version of the Civic Hybrid. It adds the biggest infotainment and convenience upgrades, including the larger touchscreen, digital instrument panel, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, and Google Built-in.

The top trim also carries the most advanced tech and convenience features, while the broader safety package remains strong across the lineup.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should be able to shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 352 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,579 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $32,586 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,066 CAD.

That price trend suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you’re buying now but less favourable if you’re planning to sell soon. A softer market usually means future resale values may not climb quickly unless demand strengthens again. Even so, the Civic Hybrid’s efficiency and broad appeal should help it remain attractive to used shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns five-star ratings in overall, side, and rollover protection, and four-star ratings for frontal collisions from NHTSA. It also earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's highest score of Good in all evaluations except for the forward crash prevention system, where it scored Acceptable, and the seatbelt reminders, which are rated Marginal. Regardless, the Civic has been named a Top Safety Pick+ for 2025.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The top trim extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The debut of the new hybrid model brings more power, significantly improved fuel economy, and a slight styling refresh.

The bottom line: The 2025 Civic Hybrid is the right pick if you want the first year of Honda’s new hybrid Civic with strong efficiency, good equipment, and broad appeal. If you’re more price-sensitive, it makes sense to shop carefully and focus on listings near the low end of the range, since the market has softened and there are enough cars available to compare.
