Used 2025 Honda Civic for Sale nearEdmonton, AB

How much does the 2025 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 9.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 703 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Honda Civic earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The 2025 Civic is positioned as a mid-cycle refresh that keeps the compact-car formula familiar while adding subtle updates and a clearer powertrain split. For you, that means an affordable sedan or hatchback path if you want everyday usability, or the Civic Si if you want a more enthusiast-focused setup. It also brings modern tech advantages such as Google Built-In.

The main trade-offs are that all-wheel drive is not available, lane-keeping assist can be irritating, and the manual misses some user-friendly features. Even so, the model’s balance of practicality and driver involvement makes it appealing if you want a compact car that still feels engaging.

28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a decent sign that there are worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Civic is presented as a well-regarded compact car that has been refined rather than reinvented, which usually helps confidence in day-to-day ownership. Honda also updated key driver-assistance systems for smoother operation, including collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist. The performance side is described as user-friendly, with a light clutch and agreeable shifter action in the Si.

Honda also notes that the Civic LX is the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid version, which can help keep running costs manageable. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some of the car’s convenience and driver-assistance behaviour may still feel a bit intrusive or less polished than you’d like.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The gas-only Civic is offered in LX, Sport, and Civic Si trims. The base trim gets a 7-inch touchscreen, wired smartphone projection, and eight unbranded speakers, while the Si adds a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone projection, a 12-speaker Bose Premium sound system, Google Built-In, and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. If you want the most equipment, the Si is the clear step up.
• Powertrain: The base Civic uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 150 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT in LX and Sport. The Civic Si uses a turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque and comes only with a six-speed manual. The Si also has a stiffer ride than the base Civic, but it remains comfortable and more responsive.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard on all Civics. It includes an improved collision-mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist. The system is enhanced for 2025, but lane-keeping assist can still feel a bit aggressive.
• Infotainment: The standard Civic gets a 7-inch touchscreen, while the Si upgrades to a 9-inch touchscreen. The Si also adds Alexa Built-In, Google Built-In, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster.
• Fuel efficiency: The Civic LX is rated at 7.3 L/100 km city, 5.7 highway, and 6.6 combined. The Civic Sport is rated at 6.8 L/100 km combined. The Civic Si is rated at 8.7 L/100 km city, 6.4 highway, and 7.7 combined.

Which 2025 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Civic is offered in 3 trim levels: LX, Sport, and Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the best-value choice if you want the most affordable gas Civic and the strongest fuel economy. It gives you the core Civic experience without the extra cost of the sportier trims.
• Sport: Choose this if you want a step up from the LX without going all the way to the Si. It adds a bit more equipment and keeps the Civic focused on everyday use.
• Civic Si: This is the enthusiast pick and the best-value trim if you want the most engaging version. It adds the turbocharged engine, six-speed manual, larger touchscreen, wireless smartphone projection, Bose audio, Google Built-In, and the digital instrument cluster.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, so you get the core safety package no matter which trim you choose.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 703 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.00% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,476 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $29,759 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,703 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a little more favourable for buyers, which can put pressure on future resale if you buy at the wrong point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current trend means you should pay close attention to trim, condition, and mileage so you do not overpay up front. A well-kept Civic should still benefit from steady demand, especially if it has the features shoppers want most.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic safe?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hatchback and 2025 Honda Civic Sedan have earned Top Safety Pick+ awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and five-star overall ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on all 2025 Civics, and the suite includes an improved collision-mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist. Honda says the braking system is better at detecting bicycles and motorcycles, and it also improves visibility of cross traffic from the left or right. Adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist were updated for smoother operation.

The main caveat is that lane-keeping assist can still feel a bit aggressive, with steering-wheel vibration that may bother some drivers. If you are sensitive to intrusive driver aids, that is worth checking on a test drive.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Honda has sharpened the Civic’s tech and safety package for 2025.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,701 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $29,759 CAD average.
• It offers an enthusiast-focused setup with strong value.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $32,584 CAD, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $29,759 CAD average.
• It carries over the refreshed Civic formula with premium appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of updated tech, safety, and market availability, the 2025 is the smart default. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value play. If you are willing to pay more for a newer carryover, the 2026 remains appealing, but it is harder to justify on price alone.
