CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Honda CR-V
Summary
With 765 currently listed for sale and an average price of $36,254 CAD, 32.7% of 2025 Honda CR-V listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Honda CR-V 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Honda CR-V stands out as a compact crossover that leans hard into practicality, comfort, and efficiency rather than flash. Honda’s latest redesign gives it a more handsome shape, while the cabin is larger than before, with 1,042 millimetres of rear legroom and up to 1,113 litres of cargo space behind the rear seats, or 2,166 litres with them folded. That roomy packaging is a big part of the CR-V’s appeal, especially for buyers who want a small SUV that feels easy to live with every day.
It is also notable for how much safety and convenience equipment Honda includes. Standard features include adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and traffic sign recognition, and the model earned a Top Safety Pick+ designation from IIHS in 2023 and a Top Safety Pick in 2024. Top trims add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, although the infotainment system is described as basic overall. The hybrid versions are especially appealing, with as little as 6.4 litres per 100 kilometres combined, 204 system horsepower, and 247 pound-feet of torque, while the gas engine remains a 190-horsepower 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo.
The 2025 CR-V is not trying to be the most exciting vehicle in its class, and that is one of its few drawbacks. It is described as easy to learn to operate, but not especially spirited to drive, and its styling is not the most distinctive. Even so, for shoppers who value reliability, safety, economy, and a generous amount of space, the 2025 Honda CR-V makes a very strong case for itself.

I love my 2025 Honda CR-V. I'm currently getting 35.4 mpg, which is fantastic. I've taken it on multiple road trips, and it's been comfortable every time. It's been an excellent combination of fuel efficiency, comfort, and practicality, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

After test driving all the SUVs of the same class, rogue, compass, xc40, rav4, etc, the new crv felt the best overall. Honda gives the best value for money. CRV has hands down the best handling (responsive and stable) than all the other SUVs.

Car drives, handles, and brakes extremely smoothly. Tech features are top of the line, and I love the option to turn them on or off as needed. I purchased the white trim, so the cream and gray seats on the interior was not my favorite combination. Other than that the car runs and looks absolutely beautiful.

How much does the 2025 Honda CR-V cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $36,189 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $36,189 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $40,522 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $40,522 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −10.69% |
Prices have softened 10.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 768 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2025 Honda CR-V a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Honda CR-V earns a 5/5 user rating, which is a strong sign that owners are very satisfied with it. Reviewers consistently praise its excellent fuel efficiency, comfortable interior, and top-notch tech features, and they also highlight its handling and performance as standout qualities. That lines up well with the CR-V’s practical, comfort-focused design and its appeal as an easy-to-live-with compact crossover for everyday use. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.
Is the 2025 Honda CR-V reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, trouble-free, and easy to count on for daily use. That matters if you want a used SUV that should fit into long-term ownership without demanding much drama. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the CR-V’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and priced fairly.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda CR-V?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.
- Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 768 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.69% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $36,189 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Honda CR-V's resale value?
The current average of $36,189 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,522 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited than they were a year ago. Even so, the CR-V’s strong owner satisfaction and practical reputation should help it remain appealing to used shoppers. If you keep mileage, condition, and service history in good shape, you should still have a solid chance of attracting buyers later.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2025 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.69% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2025 CR-V is the better pick if you want a current-year used SUV with strong owner approval, a softer price trend, and plenty of listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2025 is the safer choice when you want the latest version without giving up the CR-V’s core strengths.
How does the 2025 Honda CR-V compare to the 2025 Toyota RAV4?
