Is the 2025 Honda CR-V reliable?

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, with reliability and long-term confidence fitting the CR-V’s appeal. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a well-regarded nameplate, so condition and price still matter.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

The current average of $36,025 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,211 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, the CR-V’s broad appeal should help it remain easy to move later. Its practical packaging and strong owner satisfaction also support steady demand in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and everyday usefulness, the 2025 is the one to target first. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2025 already looks attractive if you can find one near the lower end of the market.
