How much does the 2025 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 8.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 732 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 GMC Terrain a good car?

The 2025 GMC Terrain stands out as a redesigned compact SUV with a more modern cabin and a stronger technology focus than before. Standard equipment includes a 15-inch touchscreen with the latest GMC infotainment software and Google Built-in, plus an 11-inch digital driver information centre directly in front of the driver. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, LED headlamps, and a broad suite of safety technology are also standard, while available features such as a rear camera mirror, rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, and traffic sign recognition add to its appeal.

Under the hood, the 2025 GMC Terrain uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, and it also offers a comfortable ride and a roomy cabin for everyday use. Its main compromises are that cargo space is on the small side for the compact crossover segment and it does not offer a hybrid powertrain option. Even so, it should appeal to you if you want a well-equipped, easy-to-live-with compact SUV with a more premium feel than many mainstream alternatives.

35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2025 GMC Terrain reliable?

The 2025 GMC Terrain is presented as a comfortable, well-equipped compact SUV with a roomy cabin and a strong emphasis on standard technology and safety features. Its straightforward 1.5-litre turbocharged setup and available all-wheel drive should make it familiar and manageable for many used buyers.

For long-term ownership, your main risk is less about complexity and more about choosing a used example that has been maintained properly, since a premium-leaning compact SUV can become costly if deferred maintenance has piled up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rushing into the first one you see.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 732 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.11% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $35,873 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $36,059 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,241 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Terrain has softened enough to improve your buying position today, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well the vehicle is equipped and maintained. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less room for depreciation pressure later than someone who paid closer to the earlier average.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.11% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 Terrain is the better pick if you want the newer cabin, stronger standard technology, and a more modern overall feel. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may make sense, but the 2025 is the one to target when you want the freshest version of this compact SUV and can find one near the lower end of the market.
