Is the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as the more upscale of GMC’s full-size pickup truck siblings, with a near-luxury cabin feel and a broad trim range that can suit work-ready buyers, off-road shoppers, or drivers looking for a more refined daily truck. Its mix of capability and comfort gives you a lot of flexibility if you want one pickup to cover several roles. 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop strategically.

Is the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sierra 1500’s appeal comes from its broad powertrain range, available four-wheel drive, and the practical MultiPro tailgate, all of which support everyday usefulness. The 2022 refresh also brought updated styling, better infotainment functionality, and available Super Cruise, which adds to its modern feel. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher-spec versions can be expensive to maintain and repair if you choose a more complex trim or powertrain.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Sierra 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,527 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $65,116 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500's resale value?

The current average of $65,116 CAD sits slightly below last year's $74,158 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future resale if you buy at the right number today. Because the truck still sits in a premium position with broad appeal, well-equipped examples should remain attractive to used shoppers. If you choose a desirable trim and avoid overpaying, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,109 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $65,116 CAD average.
• It offers broad configurability for work, off-road use, or luxury cruising.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the newer truck and are willing to pay for its stronger feature set and premium feel. If your priority is value, the 2024 is the better path because it delivers similar versatility at a lower price.
