Is the 2025 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford Mustang earns a 5/5 user rating, and its overview points to a classic Mustang formula with a broad range of performance choices. You get a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, coupe and convertible body styles, and a spread of trims that runs from EcoBoost models to V8-powered versions, so you can match the car to your priorities. For you, that means the Mustang can work as an everyday performance car or a more serious muscle-car choice depending on the trim you pick.

32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent amount of market opportunity.

Is the 2025 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also notes reported issues with powertrain vibrations, inconsistent interior build quality, limited-slip differential problems, and electronic stability control concerns. That means a used example deserves a careful inspection, especially if you plan to keep it for the long term and want to avoid expensive ownership surprises.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 242 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $44,710 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $46,957 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,845 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more attractive to used buyers today but may limit upside for a future seller if prices keep easing. If you buy at the right point in the range, you may reduce your depreciation exposure compared with paying closer to the high end. Strong demand for recognisable performance cars can still help support values, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,684 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $46,957 CAD average.
• The 2024 adds interior and technology upgrades while keeping the Mustang's distinctive identity.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger value proposition and more room to shop for a deal. Consider the 2024 only if its specific upgrades matter enough to justify the higher average price, especially if you are less price-sensitive and want the earlier model-year improvements.

How does the 2025 Ford Mustang compare to the 2025 Toyota GR86?
