Is the 2025 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford Mustang earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It keeps the familiar front-engine, rear-wheel drive formula, comes in coupe and convertible body styles, and offers a broad trim range from EcoBoost models to V8-powered versions, so you can choose the balance of accessibility and performance that fits your needs. If you want a recognisable performance car with classic Mustang character and multiple configurations, it remains a compelling option. Is the 2025 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Mustang’s overview points to some reported concerns, including powertrain vibrations, inconsistent interior build quality, limited-slip differential problems, and electronic stability control issues. It also notes that the EcoBoost engine requires premium fuel, which can affect running costs. For used buyers, that means a careful inspection and a solid service history matter if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 230 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.27% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $44,714 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $45,910 CAD sits slightly below last year's $59,061 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, trim, and how well the car has been maintained than on broad market momentum alone. A well-kept example with desirable equipment should still attract attention, especially if it presents cleanly and has documented service history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $52,259 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $45,910 CAD average.
• It offers upgraded interior and technology.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger value proposition and more current market pricing. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2024 can still make sense when you find one with the right equipment and condition, but you should expect to pay more for it.
