Used 2025 Ford Maverick for Sale nearSt. John's, NL

How much does the 2025 Ford Maverick cost?

Prices have softened 8.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 199 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford Maverick a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Ford Maverick earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for shoppers who want compact-pickup usefulness in a smaller, more approachable package. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its practicality, comfortable seating, spacious interior, and good fuel economy, especially with the hybrid powertrain. The overview also highlights its crossover-based packaging and real truck capability, which helps explain why it suits buyers who want everyday usability without moving up to a larger pickup.

The main trade-offs are familiar: prices have crept up, advanced safety features are not standard, and the touchscreen-heavy controls may not suit everyone. Even so, the market still shows 36.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Ford Maverick reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with buyers repeatedly calling out the Maverick’s practical nature and the confidence that comes from a vehicle they can count on day to day. The expert review adds that the hybrid setup is pleasant to drive and that the truck remains practical, which supports the impression of a well-rounded, long-term companion.

Ford’s warranty coverage includes a three-year/60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, plus an eight-year/160,000-kilometre warranty for hybrid powertrain components. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the higher purchase price and touchscreen-heavy controls may make a less-well-equipped example feel compromised if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Maverick?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes XL, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, and Lobo. The base XL is the simplest version, while XLT and Lariat add more upscale touches, and the specialty Tremor and Lobo models bring distinct personalities. The base trim also misses some of the convenience and safety equipment that you may want, so it is worth checking whether the features you care about are standard or optional.
• Powertrain: You can shop the standard hybrid powertrain or the 2.0-litre EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder. The hybrid is the efficiency-focused choice, while the turbo engine brings more power and is paired with different transmission and drivetrain setups depending on trim.
• Safety package: Ford’s driver-assistance suite includes forward-collision warning, adaptive cruise control with lane-centring and stop-and-go, and automatic high beams as standard on the base XL. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and a 360-degree camera system are optional, so check carefully if you want a more complete safety setup.
• Infotainment: The truck uses Sync 4 with a standard 13.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. The system is straightforward to use, but temperature and seat-heater controls still rely on the touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid returns 6.2 L/100 km combined, 5.6 city, and 6.7 highway. The 2.0-litre turbo-four is rated at 9.4 L/100 km combined, 10.6 city, and 7.8 highway. The Lobo is rated at 9.7 L/100 km combined, 11.2 city, and 7.8 highway, while the Tremor is rated at 10.1 L/100 km combined, 11.2 city, and 8.7 highway.

Which 2025 Ford Maverick trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Maverick is offered in 5 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, and Lobo.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the most affordable way into the Maverick, and it still gives you the core compact-truck formula plus the standard hybrid powertrain. It makes the most sense if you want the Maverick’s practicality first and foremost, but you should be aware that some desirable safety and convenience features are optional.
• XLT: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds a more polished feel without moving too far up the price ladder. If you want a balanced mix of equipment, usability, and value, this is the trim to focus on first.
• Lariat: This is the more upscale everyday choice, with a richer feature set and the most premium feel in the mainstream lineup. It suits you if you want the Maverick’s utility but prefer a more refined cabin and more convenience tech.
• Tremor: This is the off-road-focused version, with dedicated suspension tuning, all-terrain tires, skid plates, and an AWD-specific rear drive unit. Choose it if you want the Maverick’s compact size with a more adventurous character.
• Lobo: This is the fun, street-truck variant, with lowered suspension, unique styling, upgraded cooling, and a track-focused drive mode. It is the one to buy if you want the Maverick to feel the most playful on pavement.

Safety-wise, the base XL gets standard forward-collision warning, adaptive cruise control with lane-centring and stop-and-go, and automatic high beams, while blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and a 360-degree camera remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Maverick?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 199 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,348 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Maverick's resale value?

The current average of $41,605 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,267 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Maverick has become a little easier for used buyers to access, which can help keep demand healthy if you decide to sell later. At the same time, the higher current average means you should still expect the truck to hold meaningful value, especially if you have a well-equipped example with the hybrid powertrain or desirable trim content.

Because the market has cooled from last year’s level, future sellers may need to be more competitive on price to stand out. Even so, vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford Maverick safe?

The 2025 Maverick earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in rollover crash testing and five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests. It received a top Good rating in the updated side crash test from IIHS, but only a Marginal rating in the updated moderate overlap front test, along with an Acceptable headlight rating.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford’s standard driver-assistance suite includes forward-collision warning, adaptive cruise control with lane-centring and stop-and-go, and automatic high beams on the base XL. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and a 360-degree camera system are optional, so you should verify whether the specific used truck you are considering has the safety equipment you want.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Maverick or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model adds styling and tech updates, plus the Maverick Lobo performance variant and an all-wheel drive hybrid.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Maverick with broader trim and powertrain choice, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025’s updated tech and expanded lineup give it a stronger case if you can find a well-priced example.
