Used 2025 Ford Maverick for Sale near Alberta

How much does the 2025 Ford Maverick cost?

Prices have softened 6.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 208 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford Maverick a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Ford Maverick earns 4.4/5 from owners and 7.83/10 from expert testing. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its practicality, comfortable seating, spacious interior, and good fuel economy, especially with the hybrid powertrain. The Maverick also stands out for its modern features and useful packaging, which fit well if you want compact-pickup usefulness without stepping up to a larger truck.

The trade-offs are that prices have crept up, advanced safety features are not standard, and the touchscreen-heavy controls may not suit everyone. That matters most if you want a lower-cost truck or prefer more physical controls.

Given its compact-truck versatility and hybrid efficiency, it makes the most sense if you want everyday practicality with real truck capability. 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Ford Maverick reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners’ feedback points to a truck that feels practical, comfortable, and good on fuel, with the hybrid setup especially appealing for everyday use. The expert assessment also describes the Maverick as pleasant to drive and practical, with the hybrid version making a strong case as a daily driver.

Ford’s warranty coverage includes three years or 60,000 kilometres bumper-to-bumper, five years or 100,000 kilometres for the powertrain, and eight years or 160,000 kilometres for hybrid components. That helps reduce early ownership risk, but used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs that the truck’s tech-heavy controls or hybrid system have been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Maverick?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base XL is the most basic version, while XLT and Lariat add more visual polish and equipment. The XL keeps things simple with steel wheels, while higher trims bring alloy wheels and more upscale exterior details. The base trim also misses some of the convenience and safety equipment that you may want to add through options.
• Powertrain: You can shop the standard hybrid setup or the 2.0-litre EcoBoost turbo-four. The hybrid uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with a single electric motor and CVT, while the turbo engine makes more power and uses an eight-speed automatic on most trims. The Lobo uses a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and is tuned for handling rather than utility.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning, adaptive cruise control with lane-centring and stop-and-go, and automatic high beams are standard on the base XL. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and a 360-degree camera are optional, so you should check carefully for the safety equipment you want.
• Infotainment: The truck gets a 13.2-inch touchscreen, Sync 4, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. The system is modern and easy to use, but the temperature and seat-heater controls are still handled through the touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is rated at 6.2 L/100 km combined, while the 2.0-litre turbo-four is rated at 9.4 L/100 km combined. The Lobo is rated at 9.7 L/100 km combined, and the Tremor at 10.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Ford Maverick trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Maverick is offered in 5 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, and Lobo.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the value-focused starting point if you want the Maverick’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. It gives you the basic hybrid setup, the standard safety features, and the simple, functional cabin that helps define the truck’s appeal.
• XLT: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of equipment and value. It adds a step up in appearance and content without moving too far up the price ladder, making it the most natural choice for many shoppers.
• Lariat: Choose this if you want the most polished mainstream Maverick experience. It adds more upscale touches and is the trim that gets the towing-tech features mentioned in the test drive.
• Tremor: This is the off-road-focused choice, with dedicated suspension tuning, all-terrain tyres, skid plates, and a twin-clutch rear drive unit for its AWD system. It is the right pick if you want the Maverick’s more rugged side.
• Lobo: This is the performance-oriented trim, with lowered suspension, unique styling, upgraded brakes, a track-focused drive mode, and torque-vectoring hardware. It suits you best if you want the most playful, road-focused Maverick.

Safety-package note: blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and a 360-degree camera are not standard across the lineup, so check the exact equipment on any used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Maverick?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully rather than rushing.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 208 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,450 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Maverick's resale value?

The current average of $41,627 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,680 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Maverick is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium right away. If you buy now, you may benefit from the lower entry point, but resale upside will depend on how well the truck holds demand as the market normalises.

The Maverick’s practicality and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand over time, especially for well-equipped hybrid examples. Still, the higher current pricing means future resale will likely reward clean condition, desirable equipment, and a strong service record.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford Maverick safe?

The 2025 Maverick earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with four stars in rollover crash testing and five stars in frontal and side crash tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward-collision warning, adaptive cruise control with lane-centring and stop-and-go, and automatic high beams are standard on the base XL. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and a 360-degree camera are optional, so safety equipment varies by trim and option package.

The IIHS results are mixed, with a Good rating in the updated side crash test, but only Marginal in the updated moderate overlap front test and Acceptable for headlights. That means you should pay close attention to the exact safety equipment on any used example.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Maverick or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model adds styling and tech updates, plus the Maverick Lobo performance variant and an all-wheel drive hybrid.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Maverick with the broadest mix of efficiency, tech, and personality, the 2025 is the one to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2025 gives you the freshest feature set and the widest range of trims.
