How much does the 2025 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 23.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,968 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford F-150 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The 2025 F-150’s appeal comes from its huge range of configurations, with three cab styles, three bed lengths, eight trim levels and six powertrains. That breadth makes it easy to match the truck to your budget and how you plan to use it, whether that is daily driving, towing or off-road use. The expert notes also point to strong capability, impressive technology and a plush new Platinum Plus option package for buyers who want more luxury.

The trade-offs are clear, though: fuel economy is poor and manoeuvrability is poor. The expert also describes its value proposition as only average.

With 35.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market offers a decent number of attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 F-150 is built around a wide range of powertrains and configurations, which gives you flexibility but also means you should pay close attention to how a used example was equipped and maintained. The expert notes describe the truck as capable and well-rounded, with strong performance from the available engines and a cabin that feels suitably robust for the segment.

Ford’s hands-free driving system, BlueCruise, is standard starting with the Tremor trim, and the expert notes describe it as one of the best systems of its kind, with clear status communication and useful driver alerts. The cost-effectiveness notes also mention that Ford includes only a one-year BlueCruise subscription, which is worth keeping in mind when you budget for ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a truck with this much capability and technology can become expensive if it has been worked hard or neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford F-150?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tremor is one of three off-road-focused versions of the F-150, and it builds on the XLT with distinctive visual details, off-roading equipment and exclusive design cues. The expert notes also say the cabin feels appropriately industrial rather than luxurious, so base and mid-level trucks may feel more utilitarian than upscale.
• Powertrain: The Tremor’s 5.0-litre V8 produces 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 is described as more capable and more fuel efficient. The V8 sounds especially good, but the EcoBoost delivers better efficiency and towing ability.
• Safety package: Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving technology is standard starting with the Tremor trim. The safety content also highlights new oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection and Active Blind-Spot Assist.
• Infotainment: The truck uses a 12-inch productivity screen and a 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are onboard, and the expert notes praise the native navigation and voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: The Tremor EcoBoost is rated at 12.9 L/100 km combined, while the V8 is rated at 13.7 L/100 km. In testing, the V8 averaged 14.9 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, XLT, Tremor, Raptor, Raptor R, Platinum, King Ranch and Platinum Plus.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the entry point if you want the broad F-150 experience at the lowest rung, but you should expect a more basic truck than the higher trims.
• XLT: This is the trim that underpins the Tremor, so it is the key stepping stone if you want more equipment without jumping straight to the specialised off-road models.
• Tremor: This is the best-value choice if you want a serious off-road flavour, strong V8 character and a well-equipped truck without going all the way to the Raptor models.
• Raptor: Choose this if you want one of the most aggressive off-road-focused F-150s in the lineup.
• Raptor R: This is the most extreme off-road performance choice in the range.
• Platinum: Pick this if you want a more upscale truck with a stronger luxury focus.
• King Ranch: This suits buyers who want a premium, distinctive full-size truck with a more upscale feel.
• Platinum Plus: This is the top luxury play, aimed at buyers who want the most decadent version of the F-150.

BlueCruise is standard starting with the Tremor trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford F-150?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should have room to shop around without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,968 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $60,026 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $60,026 CAD sits slightly below last year's $78,362 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favour, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar unless the truck is especially well equipped or lightly used. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who bought when prices were higher. Strong configuration flexibility can also help keep demand broad when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 safe?

The 2025 Ford F-150 earns a five-star overall rating and a four-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA, and it scores well in IIHS testing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford added several new safety features for 2025, including oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist and predictive speed assist. The lane-keeping assist system also gains Road Edge Detection and Active Blind-Spot Assist.

BlueCruise is standard starting with the Tremor trim, and the expert notes describe it as highly capable, with clear driver-status communication and useful alerts. The main caveat is that it still cannot handle every road situation, so you need to stay ready to take over.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds a slew of new standard and optional driver-assistance systems.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $54,810 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $60,026 CAD average.
• It offers a broad range of jobs with thoughtful updates and an updated BlueCruise system.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It reshuffles equipment across eight trims, three beds, three cabs and six powertrains.

The bottom line: If you want the newest safety and convenience updates, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you find a clean example with the equipment you want.
