Used 2025 Ford Expedition for Sale nearThunder Bay, ON

How much does the 2025 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 10.71% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 157 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford Expedition earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

It is aimed at you if you want a large SUV with generous interior space and strong towing capability, and the all-new 2025 redesign adds a tech-forward cabin that feels impressively futuristic. The Expedition’s powerful engines and easy everyday drivability are clear strengths, while the main trade-offs are thirsty engines and some tech functions that require an additional subscription.

The expert notes also point to a vehicle that is surprisingly easy to drive for its size, which matters if you plan to use it as a family hauler rather than just a tow rig. Good and great deals make up 31.2% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Expedition is presented as a well-equipped, capability-focused SUV with a strong standard feature set and a modern powertrain. Its twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 is the only engine offered, and the expert notes that it had no trouble moving the vehicle up to highway speed despite the Expedition’s substantial mass. The review also highlights that the transmission shifts quietly and accurately, and that the suspension stays composed over rough pavement.

Ford’s standard equipment list and the availability of BlueCruise 1.4 add to the sense that this is a thoroughly engineered vehicle, though the subscription-based tech model means you should budget for ongoing ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic capability and more about whether you are comfortable with fuel use and connected-services expenses over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Active trim already comes with tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding rear seats, and the 24-inch panoramic driver information display, while the higher trims add nicer materials and more upscale appointments. If you want the best value, the Active stands out because it brings a lot of equipment you might expect on a pricier trim.
• Powertrain: Every 2025 Expedition uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6, with 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque in standard form. The Tremor gets a high-output version with 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, and four-wheel drive is standard across the lineup in Canada.
• Safety package: Ford’s standard suite includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels, but it requires a trial period and then a paid subscription or one-time purchase.
• Infotainment: The Expedition uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen with built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play store, plus wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay projection. The system works best with the Ford Connectivity Package, which includes one year of complimentary access before a paid subscription or one-time purchase is required.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel consumption is rated at 15.4 L/100 km in the city, 10.7 L/100 km on the highway, and 13.3 L/100 km combined. The expert also recorded 17.0 L/100 km in testing, so fuel costs are a meaningful part of ownership.

Which 2025 Ford Expedition trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Expedition is offered in 4 trim levels: Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch.

Here's the short version:

• Active: This is the best-value trim if you want the Expedition’s core strengths without stretching too far up the price ladder. It already includes a lot of equipment, including the panoramic driver information display, tri-zone climate control, and power-folding rear seats, so you get a strong mix of practicality and technology.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for it. It builds on the Expedition’s already strong tech and comfort foundation with a more premium presentation.
• Tremor: This is the one to buy if you want the most off-road capability in the lineup. It adds the high-output engine, increased ground clearance, all-terrain tyres, skid plates, and an electronic locking rear axle, making it the right pick for buyers who need more rugged ability.
• King Ranch: Pick this if you want the most distinctive luxury-leaning character in the range. The expert notes highlight significantly nicer materials and Del Rio leather seating, so it suits you if cabin ambience matters as much as capability.

BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels, but it requires a paid subscription or one-time purchase after the trial period.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and wait for the right listing.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 157 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.71% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $88,470 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $88,470 CAD sits slightly below last year's $99,085 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favourable if you are planning to sell soon. A softer market usually means future sellers may need to price more competitively to attract attention, especially in a segment where shoppers can compare several large SUVs side by side.

The Expedition’s strong capability and broad appeal should still help it hold interest among buyers who need space and towing strength. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition safe?

The 2025 Ford Expedition has not yet been rated by NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has applied a rating to the 2025 model, but the crash testing was performed on a previous-generation 2023 model, which received only Moderate scores in the small overlap front and updated moderate overlap front tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford equips the Expedition with a strong standard safety package that includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is also available on all trim levels, giving you hands-free driving capability if you are willing to pay for the subscription after the trial period.

The main caveat is that the available crash-test information is based on an older model, so you should treat the current-generation Expedition’s crashworthiness with some caution until more up-to-date results arrive.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model is all-new, adds the Tremor trim, and brings a tech-forward cabin with a futuristic feel.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Expedition with the most up-to-date design, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, the softened market and decent deal availability make it worth shopping carefully for a well-priced example rather than rushing into the first one you see.
