Used 2025 Ford Expedition for Sale near Newfoundland and Labrador

How much does the 2025 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 7.71% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 161 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford Expedition earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

It stands out as a large SUV that combines interior space with strong towing capability, and it is all-new for 2025. The cabin has a tech-forward look that feels impressively futuristic, and the Expedition is surprisingly easy to drive in everyday circumstances despite its size.

The trade-offs are that the engines are thirsty and some tech features require an additional subscription. Even so, the Expedition’s powerful engines and impressive technology make it a strong fit if you need a big SUV that can handle family duty and towing.

With 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive example.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Ford Expedition is positioned as a practical, capability-focused full-size SUV with a lot of standard equipment. Its standard 4WD and broad feature set support confidence in day-to-day use, while the expert assessment highlights strong performance and technology as core strengths.

The standard twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 and ten-speed automatic transmission are described as smooth and capable, and the vehicle’s brakes and suspension help it feel composed for its size. Ford also includes a one-year complimentary access period for its connected tech package, which helps reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Expedition’s complexity and fuel use can make running costs higher than you might expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Active trim already comes with ActiveX synthetic leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding rear seats, and the 24-inch panoramic driver information display, while higher trims add nicer materials and Del Rio leather seating. The Tremor trim also adds integrated off-roading lamps.
• Powertrain: Every 2025 Expedition uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6, with 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque in standard form. The Tremor gets a high-output version with 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, and all Canadian trims come with 4WD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels, with a trial included.
• Infotainment: The Expedition uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen with built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play store. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported, but the connected features rely on an active data plan after the complimentary period.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 15.4 L/100 km in the city, 10.7 L/100 km on the highway, and 13.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Ford Expedition trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Expedition is offered in 4 trim levels: Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch.

Here's the short version:

• Active: This is the best-value trim because it already brings a lot of standard equipment, including ActiveX synthetic leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding rear seats, and the 24-inch panoramic driver information display. If you want the Expedition’s core space, tech, and capability without chasing luxury extras, this is the trim to start with.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel than the Active and expect a richer cabin experience. It builds on the Expedition’s already strong tech-forward interior and suits buyers who want more luxury without going all the way to the most distinctive trims.
• Tremor: This is the one to buy if you want the Expedition’s added off-road focus. It gets the high-output engine, increased ground clearance, all-terrain tyres, skid plates, an electronic locking rear axle, and integrated off-roading lamps, making it the clear pick for buyers who want more rugged capability.
• King Ranch: Pick this if you want the most premium-feeling Expedition in the lineup. It stands out for significantly nicer materials and Del Rio leather seating, so it suits buyers who want the most upscale cabin experience.

BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels, and the standard safety equipment is strong across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 161 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.71% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $89,062 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $89,062 CAD sits slightly below last year's $96,506 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If you own one for a few years, the current softness may limit short-term upside, especially if you add mileage quickly or choose a higher-priced trim.

On the other hand, the Expedition’s strong capability and broad appeal should help it remain relevant with shoppers who need a large SUV. Well-equipped examples with desirable features are likely to stay easier to move than stripped-down or heavily used ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition safe?

The 2025 Ford Expedition has not yet been rated by NHTSA. The 2023 Expedition received only Moderate scores in the small overlap front and updated moderate overlap front tests, with Good scores in all other evaluations.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford equips the Expedition with a strong standard safety suite that includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is also available on all trim levels, with a 90-day trial included.

The main caveat is that the available crash-test information is based on a previous-generation model, so it may not fully reflect the updated 2025 Expedition’s crashworthiness.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings an all-new design, a more futuristic cabin, and the new Tremor trim for added off-road ability.

The bottom line:

If you want the most up-to-date Expedition with the newest design, the strongest tech presentation, and the Tremor’s added capability, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may offer a lower entry point, but you will give up some of this year’s redesign and added trim variety.
