How much does the 2025 Ford Expedition cost?

There are 159 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

The 2025 Ford Expedition is aimed at you if you want a large SUV with generous interior space and strong towing capability. Its all-new cabin feels impressively futuristic, and the vehicle is described as surprisingly easy to drive in everyday use despite its size.

The main trade-offs are thirsty engines and tech functions that require an additional subscription. Even so, 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Ford Expedition is presented as a capable, well-equipped full-size SUV with a strong emphasis on everyday usability. Its standard equipment and broad capability suggest a vehicle built to handle family duty, towing, and long-distance driving with confidence.

The powertrain is described as having no problem bringing the vehicle up to highway speed, and the transmission and suspension are tuned to handle rough pavement calmly. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which is a useful ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large, powerful SUV can be expensive to fuel and maintain over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The entry-level Active already comes with ActiveX synthetic leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding rear seats, and the 24-inch panoramic driver information display, while higher trims add nicer materials and Del Rio leather seating.
• Powertrain: Every 2025 Expedition uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6, with 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque in standard form and 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque in Tremor trim.
• Safety package: Ford’s standard suite includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels.
• Infotainment: The Expedition uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen with Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play store, plus wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay projection. The system works best with an active data plan.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy is terrible, with Natural Resources Canada rating it at 15.4 L/100 km in the city, 10.7 L/100 km on the highway, and 13.3 L/100 km combined. In testing, a King Ranch model returned 17.0 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Ford Expedition trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Expedition is offered in 4 trim levels: Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch.

Here's the short version:

• Active: This is the best-value trim because it already brings a lot of equipment you might expect higher up the range, including tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding rear seats, and the 24-inch panoramic driver information display.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale Expedition experience and are willing to pay for the added refinement over the Active.
• Tremor: This is the one to get if you want the most off-road capability in the lineup, with higher ground clearance, all-terrain tyres, skid plates, and an electronic locking rear axle.
• King Ranch: Pick this if you want the most luxurious feel, including significantly nicer materials and Del Rio leather seating.

BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels, and it comes with a 90-day trial.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 159 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $88,520 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $88,520 CAD sits slightly below last year's $98,991 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Expedition easier for you to buy now, but it also means a future seller may need to price more competitively to stand out. The current range still shows meaningful demand, especially for a large SUV with strong capability and a broad equipment list.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition safe?

The 2025 Ford Expedition has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety testing referenced here was performed on a previous-generation 2023 model.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford includes a strong standard safety package with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels, with a 90-day trial included.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings an all-new design, a tech-forward cabin, and the new Tremor trim level for more off-road ability.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Expedition with the freshest cabin, the 2025 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, the softer used-market pricing makes this a good year to shop carefully and compare listings against the low end of the range.
