Used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale near New Brunswick

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 12.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 565 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox earns an expert rating of 7.67/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It brings a more truck-inspired redesign, new standard tech and safety features, and a new trim aimed at buyers who want a more weekend-ready flavour. That makes it a strong fit if you want a practical compact SUV with more style and more standard equipment.

The trade-offs are a small cargo compartment for the class and a finicky voice assistant, and the ACTIV trim still has minimal off-road capability.

With 37.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is positioned as a practical compact crossover with a redesigned cabin, standard safety equipment, and a single turbocharged engine, which points to a straightforward ownership experience.

Its 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder is paired with a CVT in base LT FWD models and an eight-speed automatic in AWD versions, and the latter is described as an improvement over the old six-speed. The ride is also described as fairly quiet and comfortable outside of harder acceleration.

Chevrolet also includes standard wireless smartphone projection, Google Built-In, and a broad set of standard safety features, which should help everyday usability. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which is a nice ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the small engine can feel strained in highway passing and merging, especially if you regularly carry passengers or cargo.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and are happy with standard wireless smartphone projection and core safety tech. The RS adds a sportier look, while the ACTIV brings the new adventure-oriented styling and all-terrain tyres.
• Powertrain: All Canadian models use a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. Base LT FWD models get a CVT, while AWD versions use an eight-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes enhanced automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, automatic high beams, rear park assist, and side blind-zone alert. The available Safety & Technology package adds rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, traffic-sign recognition, and a camera rearview mirror.
• Infotainment: The standard touchscreen measures 11.3 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Google Built-In and Wi-Fi hotspot capability are also standard, while wireless charging is standard on RS and ACTIV and available on LT.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-consumption figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, RS, ACTIV.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the best-value trim if you want the lowest price and the core tech and safety features without paying for styling extras. It gives you the standard equipment that makes the new Equinox feel well equipped right away.
• RS: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance, standard AWD, and the more dramatic interior and exterior treatment. It suits you best if style matters as much as everyday practicality.
• ACTIV: Pick this if you like the more rugged look, all-terrain tyres, and the unique Maple Sugar and Black interior theme. It is the trim to consider if you want the most weekend-ready personality, though the content still notes minimal off-road capability.

The available Safety & Technology package can be added to any trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 565 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,225 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $34,225 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,996 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly. If you own one and plan to sell later, you may not see the same strength in resale that you would in a tighter market.

For future sellers, the current trend means timing and condition will matter more. A clean example with desirable equipment should still stand out, but you should expect buyers to be price-sensitive.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Just about every other safety or driver-assistance feature is standard, including rear park assist, side blind-zone alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver Technology.

The available Safety & Technology package adds rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, traffic-sign recognition, and a camera rearview mirror for $1,295 CAD. That package is worth considering if you want the most complete safety setup.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.23% compared with last year.
• It brings a redesigned look, new standard tech, and more standard safety equipment.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $36,581 CAD, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $34,225 CAD average.
• It adds a standard drive mode selector and a new Polar White exterior colour.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2025 is the smarter buy because it delivers the redesign and the strongest pricing. If you’re willing to pay more for a slightly newer model year and don’t mind limited changes, the 2026 is the cleaner alternative for price-insensitive buyers.
