There are 100 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare options.

Is the 2025 Audi Q7 a good car?

The 2025 Audi Q7 earns a 7.33/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It stands out as a premium mid-size SUV with room for seven, standard all-wheel drive, and a stylish design that gives it broad appeal if you want something composed on the road. The trade-offs are clear: the third row is only barely usable, fuel economy is poor, and the advanced driver-assistance features feel outdated.

The Q7’s 23.0% good or great deal share suggests there are at least some attractive listings in the market.

Is the 2025 Audi Q7 reliable?

The 2025 Audi Q7 is presented as a refined, well-equipped luxury SUV with standard all-wheel drive and strong driving dynamics, but it also shows its age in some key areas. Its powertrains are described as smooth and easy to live with, and the larger engine is called a good motivator.

The performance notes point to a capable, composed SUV that handles very well for its size, with firm brakes and minimal body roll. That said, the source also flags that the transmission does not always downshift as expected and that the vehicle’s fuel economy is not a strength.

If you plan to keep one long term, the main ownership risk is that you may be living with an older design whose tech and efficiency lag newer rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi Q7?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the core Q7 experience, while the higher trims add more equipment and can push the price up quickly. The standard all-wheel-drive setup and stylish exterior updates are part of the appeal, but you should check whether the features you want are included before moving up the line.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder with 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, or a 3.0-litre turbo V6 with 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. The larger engine is standard on the Progressiv and Technik trims.
• Safety package: The Q7 includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, cruise control, adaptive cruise control on upper trims, and self-parking for parallel and perpendicular spaces. The lane-centring and adaptive cruise systems are customizable, but the overall ADAS setup is described as outdated compared with rivals.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.1-inch centre screen, a smaller lower screen for HVAC controls, a configurable digital gauge cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Audi App Store. The system also includes online navigation and traffic light information for a trial period.
• Fuel efficiency: The larger engine is rated at 13.0 L/100 km in the city, 10.0 on the highway, and 11.7 combined. The smaller engine is rated at 12.0 L/100 km city, 9.2 highway, and 10.7 combined.

Which 2025 Audi Q7 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi Q7 is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Progressiv, and Technik.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the trim to focus on if you want the best value. The source specifically says the best way to go is to stick with the base trim and add the more potent engine, which gives you the stronger powertrain without chasing the pricier upper trims.
• Progressiv: This trim is the middle step if you want the V6 as standard and are willing to pay more for it. It makes sense if you want more power without going all the way to the top.
• Technik: This is the top trim, but the source is clear that it becomes hard to justify because the price climbs quickly and the ADAS tech still falls behind the competition.

The safety package includes adaptive cruise control on upper trims, so you should confirm which driver-assistance features are standard on the specific trim you are considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi Q7?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you are shopping carefully.

• Deal availability: 23.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 100 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $68,599 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $70,790 CAD sits slightly below last year's $78,900 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favour, which can make the Q7 easier to shop now than it was a year ago. For a future seller, it also means you should expect more pressure on resale if the market stays soft. If you buy at the right price today, you may reduce some of that downside, but the current trend still points to a model that has lost value meaningfully over the past year.

Is the 2025 Audi Q7 safe?

The 2025 Audi Q7 earns five-star ratings overall and for side crash from NHTSA, and four-star ratings for front crash and rollover.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The Q7 includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, cruise control, adaptive cruise control on upper trims, and self-parking for parallel and perpendicular spaces. Audi also lets you customise the adaptive cruise behaviour, and there is a physical button for ADAS settings plus a shortcut on the turn-signal stalk for lane-keeping assist.

The main caveat is that the driver-assistance tech is described as outdated and less polished than what you get from some rivals. The lane-centring system is also called haphazard, which is worth keeping in mind if you expect a more advanced highway-assist experience.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 23.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.28% compared with last year.
• The refreshed styling, standard all-wheel drive, and strong driving dynamics matter more to you than having the newest ADAS setup.

The bottom line: If you want a polished three-row luxury SUV with strong road manners and you can live with the Q7’s cramped third row and dated driver-assistance tech, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, the softer market and lower average price make this a sensible year to shop carefully and prioritise value over top-trim equipment.
