Is the 2024 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 RAM 3500, and it fits a truck that is built around serious capability with a strong focus on luxury and tech. The 2024 model is aimed at buyers who want heavy-duty towing and payload strength without giving up the convenience features you’d expect in a daily driver, including available advanced camera and infotainment technology. It is especially compelling if you prioritise towing, payload, and heavy-duty utility over compact manoeuvrability or a quieter, more car-like experience. 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 RAM 3500 is described as a heavy-duty truck that carries forward an already established formula, with no significant changes or upgrades for the model year. Its appeal comes from a proven mix of capability, comfort, and technology rather than from a major redesign. For used buyers, that usually means you should focus on maintenance history, towing use, and overall condition to manage long-term ownership risk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 361 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $71,302 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $71,346 CAD sits slightly below last year's $85,332 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the truck more attractive to buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. Because the 2024 RAM 3500 is positioned around capability and premium features, well-kept examples should still appeal to shoppers who need serious towing and payload capacity. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with serious towing and payload capability, plus a more upscale cabin and modern tech, the 2024 RAM 3500 is the right direction to start with. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 makes sense when you want the refreshed formula and can find a well-priced example.
