Is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Pathfinder’s appeal comes from its practical layout, standard all-wheel drive, and well-rounded feature set, all of which support confidence in everyday use. Its updated suspension and family-friendly packaging also suggest a vehicle built to handle regular commuting, road trips, and towing duties without feeling compromised.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its below-average fuel economy can add up over time.

What is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $41,674 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,346 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Pathfinder is currently in a buyer-friendly phase, which can make it easier for future sellers to compete on value. If you buy at the right price now, you may have more room to preserve equity later if the market steadies. The model’s broad family appeal and strong utility should help keep it relevant with shoppers looking for a capable three-row SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $37,712 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $41,674 CAD average.
• It adds a rugged Rock Creek edition for buyers who want a tougher-looking SUV.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $49,789 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $41,674 CAD average.
• It brings a more value-focused, well-rounded package with excellent cargo space and comfortable seating.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want a current-feeling Pathfinder with strong owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer model-year package and are willing to pay more.
