Is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The overview suggests a vehicle built around practicality, with a proven V6, standard all-wheel drive in Canada, and a layout aimed at family use. Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 443 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,260 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $41,260 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,620 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably today, but it also means future resale values may depend heavily on how well the market holds up. If demand stays steady for three-row SUVs with strong family utility, the Pathfinder should remain reasonably easy to move on the used market. Its broad appeal and practical layout should help support interest from future buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $37,188 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $41,260 CAD average.
• It adds a rugged Rock Creek edition and broad family-friendly versatility.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $49,643 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $41,260 CAD average.
• It adds slight updates to an already well-rounded family SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing and strong owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value path, while the 2025 makes sense only if you want to pay more for the newer model year.
