The 2024 Pathfinder is presented as a practical family SUV with a spacious cabin, useful seating flexibility, and a broad feature set. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that its below-average fuel economy may make running costs less predictable than some rivals.

What is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $42,042 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,649 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be grounded in the current softer pricing environment rather than last year's higher benchmark. Strong demand for well-equipped family SUVs can still support values, especially when the vehicle is priced competitively and presented well.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,392 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $42,042 CAD average.
• It adds the Rock Creek edition for a tougher personality.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $50,972 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $42,042 CAD average.
• It brings slight updates that improve overall appeal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around starting point if you want the current-year balance of price, satisfaction, and market availability. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter value play; if you want the newest version and can stretch your budget, the 2025 is the premium choice.
