Used 2024 Nissan Altima for Sale nearNewmarket, ON

How much does the 2024 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 14.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 109 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2024 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Nissan Altima earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

It stands out as a sensible choice in a shrinking midsize-sedan market, with an attractive starting price, standard safety technology, and easy-to-use technology. In Canada, standard all-wheel drive adds practicality, and higher trims bring an upgraded touchscreen that helps the cabin feel more current.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is pedestrian, material quality is unimpressive, and the Bose stereo is lacking.

With 36.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2024 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Altima is presented as a familiar, time-tested sedan with a well-rounded character, and its standard all-wheel drive adds everyday confidence in Canadian conditions. Its naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine is described as adequate, and the CVT does a good job managing power output.

The Altima also comes with a three-year, 60,000-kilometre limited warranty and a five-year, 100,000-kilometre limited powertrain warranty. That said, used buyers should still weigh the age of the design and the mixed quality of some cabin materials when thinking about long-term ownership.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Altima?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim is the value play, while SR Premium and Platinum add the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen and a more current-feeling cabin. The base S also misses the wireless phone charger and ProPilot Assist.
• Powertrain: You get a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with standard AWD in Canada. The setup is adequate rather than exciting, and the CVT can drone under harder acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warning. ProPilot Assist is standard on all trims except base S, while Platinum adds a 360-degree surround-view monitor and traffic-sign recognition; SR Premium also gets traffic-sign recognition.
• Infotainment: Most models use an 8-inch touchscreen, while SR Premium and Platinum get a 12.3-inch display. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on every Altima, but wireless versions are available only with the largest screen size, and NissanConnect comes standard on SR Premium and Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The Altima is estimated at 9.1 L/100 km in the city, 6.5 L/100 km on the highway, and 7.9 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2024 Nissan Altima is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SR, SR Premium, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the best-value trim if you want the lowest entry price and standard AWD without paying for extras you may not need. It still gives you the core Altima formula, but it skips ProPilot Assist and the wireless phone charger.
• SR: Choose this if you want a step up in style and equipment without jumping all the way to the pricier tech-focused trims. It keeps the Altima practical while broadening the appeal.
• SR Premium: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers because it adds the 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless phone projection, and NissanConnect. It feels like the most balanced mix of value and modern convenience.
• Platinum: Pick this if you want the most upscale Altima experience, including the larger screen, NissanConnect, traffic-sign recognition, and the 360-degree surround-view monitor.

ProPilot Assist is standard on every Altima sold in Canada except the base S trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 109 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.62% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,641 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $25,641 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,030 CAD.

That price decline suggests the Altima is currently a buyer-friendly used car, but it also means future sellers may face more competition when they go to list one. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less room for appreciation later, especially in a segment where sedans are losing ground to SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Nissan Altima safe?

The 2024 Altima earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, though it also scores four-star ratings in the overall frontal crash test and driver-side barrier crash test. The 2024 model has not been awarded the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation because of poor performance in the organisation’s updated side-impact test.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warning. ProPilot Assist comes standard on all Canadian Altimas except the base S trim, and Platinum adds a 360-degree surround-view monitor and traffic-sign recognition.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs standard AWD in Canada with an upgraded touchscreen on higher trims.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,088 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $25,641 CAD average.
• It offers practical value, standard AWD, and strong everyday usability.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds an SR Premium trim to broaden the Canadian lineup.
• It keeps standard AWD and a competitively priced trim walk.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right pick if you want the current-year Altima with strong value, standard AWD, and a solid mix of safety and convenience features. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better budget-focused path.
