Why it stands out

The 2024 Lincoln Navigator stands out as a full-size luxury SUV that prioritises presence, comfort, and technology in equal measure. It is part of the fourth generation, which is described as the point where the Navigator genuinely felt like a Lincoln vehicle rather than a rebadged Ford, with substantial gains in interior quality, materials, and design. That matters because the Navigator’s appeal has always been tied to being big, lavish, and unmistakably American, and this generation is presented as the best expression of that formula.

For 2024, the Navigator carries a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine with 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It also offers the optional 30-way power front seats with separate thigh extensions, thigh bolsters, torso bolsters, an upper backrest tilt, a four-way headrest, three-way lumbar, and two massage programmes, which is a standout feature in this class. The 2022 refresh brought a wider 13.2-inch touchscreen, a newer and faster version of Sync, and ActiveGlide hands-free driving as standard, while the adaptive dampers gained a forward camera to read the road and adjust ride stiffness.

That said, the Navigator is not without compromises. The source notes that its ride quality can be poor, and the back seats are cramped. Even so, it remains appealing for buyers who want a large, powerful luxury SUV with strong technology, a richly appointed cabin, and the kind of road presence that makes it feel special.
