Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

With a user rating of 3/5, this Range Rover Sport looks like a mixed-value luxury SUV rather than an easy blanket recommendation. It stands out as a luxury SUV that blends serious off-road ability with a high-end, performance-focused character, and it also offers a lavish driving feel and strong engines. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a premium SUV with real capability and presence, especially if off-road confidence and a refined feel matter more than running costs. 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is positioned as an expensive used buy, with reliability, service costs, and fuel consumption making it harder to recommend than some rivals. It benefits from the second-generation redesign’s lighter aluminium unibody construction, which improved handling, ride quality, acceleration, and interior space. It also gained useful equipment such as a hands-free power tailgate, InControl Remote, auto access height for the air suspension, and USB-C ports. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk remains a meaningful consideration because upkeep can be costly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 101 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,117 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $57,634 CAD sits slightly below last year's $63,704 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying. If you plan to sell later, the softer pricing trend means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should still appeal to buyers who want luxury and off-road credibility, but the model's higher ownership costs may limit demand compared with some rivals.

Should I buy a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.53% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $79,030 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $57,634 CAD average.
• It adds a redesigned, sportier look with stronger off-road focus.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better primary choice if you want the lower entry price and a broader value window. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer model's updated styling and capability focus, the 2023 is the stronger premium alternative. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2022 offers the more compelling used-market case.
