Used 2024 Kia Seltos for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2024 Kia Seltos cost?

Prices have softened 9.68% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 784 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia Seltos a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Seltos earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its features, comfort, handling, spaciousness, and safety options, and many also like the stylish design. In practical terms, that lines up well with its role as a small crossover that aims to give you plenty of everyday usability and easy-to-use technology.

The main trade-offs are that the base engine feels underpowered and the optional turbo engine can suffer from low-speed turbo-lag. Even so, the Seltos is positioned as a practical, well-equipped crossover for buyers who want comfort and utility without giving up standard features.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Kia Seltos reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with repeated praise for its features, comfort, handling, and safety options. That kind of response usually suggests you can count on the Seltos to deliver a consistent ownership experience.

The expert assessment also reinforces that impression by highlighting its well-rounded nature, spacious packaging, and modern tech. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about choosing the right trim and powertrain for your needs, since the base engine and turbo setup each come with their own compromises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Seltos?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX includes 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, fog lights, heated front seats and side mirrors, manually adjustable front seats, two USB ports, air conditioning, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8-inch touchscreen. The EX adds solar glass, a sunroof, LED daytime running lights, keyless entry with push-button start, combination cloth-and-synthetic leather upholstery, and single-zone automatic climate control. The EX Premium adds a fully digital instrument cluster, electrochromatic rearview mirror, rear cargo cover, and wireless device charging. The SX adds 18-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, a leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, a Bose premium stereo system, and Kia’s digital key. The X-Line adds 18-inch alloy wheels with gloss black finish, a unique dark gunmetal grille design, black sport design roof rails, and other subtle styling tweaks. The base trim is the one to scrutinise most closely if you want the broadest feature set.
• Powertrain: The base setup uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 146 horsepower and a CVT-style IVT. Front-wheel drive is standard on the LX, with optional all-wheel drive, and AWD is also available on the EX. From EX Premium, AWD is standard. The SX and X-Line use a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with 195 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic, and they come with standard AWD. The base engine is efficient, while the turbo adds stronger acceleration but can feel laggy at lower speeds.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance features include forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keep assist and lane-departure warning, lane-follow assist, automatic high beams, driver attention warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Safe Exit Warning. EX Premium adds smart adaptive cruise control, and the SX adds traffic sign recognition, highway driving assist, a junction-turning function to forward collision warning, and drive-away warning. If you want the fullest safety suite, you’ll need to move beyond the lower trims.
• Infotainment: The base system uses an 8-inch touchscreen with a 4.2-inch digital instrument screen, while upper trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Both versions include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the system is designed to be logical and responsive. Wireless device charging appears on EX Premium, and the SX and X-Line get an upgraded Bose stereo.
• Fuel efficiency: The base 2.0-litre engine with FWD returns 8.3 L/100 km city, 6.8 highway, and 7.6 combined. With AWD, it returns 8.8 L/100 km city, 7.5 highway, and 8.2 combined. The 1.6-litre turbo-four returns 9.4 city, 8.7 highway, and 9.1 combined.

Which 2024 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Seltos is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX Premium, SX, and X-Line.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you a strong equipment list that includes heated front seats, fog lights, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you want the lowest entry price and can live without the extra convenience and tech upgrades, this is the trim to start with.
• EX: This trim adds a sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, LED daytime running lights, and upgraded upholstery, making it a more polished everyday choice. It is the trim that most clearly balances added comfort with still-manageable pricing.
• EX Premium: This is the best-value upgrade if you want the Seltos to feel more complete, because it adds the fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and standard AWD. It also unlocks smart adaptive cruise control, which makes it especially appealing if you want more convenience and all-weather confidence.
• SX: This trim is for you if you want the most upscale cabin and the strongest feature set, including the Bose stereo, digital key, rain-sensing wipers, and the most advanced driver-assistance additions. It is the most feature-rich choice before the styling-focused X-Line.
• X-Line: This is the top trim in Canada and focuses on distinctive styling with gloss black 18-inch wheels, a dark gunmetal grille, and black roof rails. Choose it if you want the most visually distinctive Seltos rather than the most feature-efficient one.

The safety package gets meaningfully stronger as you move up the range, especially from EX Premium onward.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 784 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.68% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,888 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $26,053 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,845 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the Seltos is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can make it easier for you to get into one at a reasonable cost. For a future seller, that also means resale expectations should be grounded in the current market rather than last year’s higher pricing.

The good news is that the model’s broad appeal should help support demand over time. Its combination of space, standard features, and strong owner satisfaction gives it a practical value story that should remain attractive to used shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Seltos safe?

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings fresh styling and updated technology as part of its mid-cycle refresh.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed Seltos with updated styling, stronger tech, and a softer used-market price than last year, the 2024 model is the one to target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2024 offers a compelling mix of value and updates.
