Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and it fits a vehicle that blends Jeep’s off-road identity with a more premium, SUV-first character. In Canada, you get standard four-wheel drive, a wide spread of configurations, and multiple 4WD systems, so you can shop for a version that matches your needs, from basic to more luxurious. If you want an SUV that can feel refined while still offering real trail hardware, this model year has a clear appeal.

There are 31.9% of listings priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still some room to find value in the market.

Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s appeal comes from its established formula: standard 4WD in Canada, a broad trim range, and a mix of comfort and capability that should suit many buyers. The standard 3.6-litre V6 and eight-speed automatic are familiar pieces of the package, and higher trims add more premium equipment without changing the vehicle’s core identity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you choose a well-maintained example that matches the equipment level and use case you actually need.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 539 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,275 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $42,275 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,609 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle more attractive to used buyers today but may temper near-term resale upside for current owners. If you buy at the right price, you may have less depreciation risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. Strong demand for well-equipped SUVs with real capability can still support future values, especially for desirable trims.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2024 gives you a compelling balance of value and appeal.
