Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and it fits a vehicle that blends Jeep’s off-road identity with a more premium, SUV-first character. You get standard four-wheel drive in Canada, a wide spread of configurations, and a cabin that can feel genuinely upscale on higher trims. That makes it a strong fit if you want one SUV that can cover daily driving, comfort, and trail capability.

With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s appeal comes from its established formula: standard four-wheel drive in Canada, multiple 4WD systems, and a broad trim range that lets you choose between simpler and more luxurious versions. Its 3.6-litre V6 and eight-speed automatic are the core setup, while the 4xe adds a more powerful plug-in hybrid option for shoppers who want more performance and efficiency flexibility.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained properly, especially if it has more advanced equipment or a higher-end 4WD system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you focus on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 531 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,309 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $42,309 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,928 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle more approachable for you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale value may depend heavily on condition, trim, and how well the vehicle is equipped relative to similar listings. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better pick if you want the newer model-year experience, standard four-wheel drive in Canada, and a broad mix of trims and equipment. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2024 makes the most sense when you want the strongest balance of capability, comfort, and current-market value.
