How much does the 2024 Hyundai Palisade cost?

Prices have softened 13.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 422 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Palisade earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, abundant tech features, comfortable driving experience, and generous room for passengers. The overview also points to a roomy, family-friendly SUV with upscale materials and thoughtful amenities, which fits well if you want something practical that still feels a bit special.

The main trade-offs are its potentially polarizing design and poor fuel economy, and the expert review also notes that it lacks wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Even so, the Palisade’s strong value and upscale packaging make it appealing if you want a three-row SUV that balances comfort, technology, and everyday usefulness.

The market shows 29.9% of listings as good or great deals, which is a healthy sign for value-minded shoppers.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with owners especially appreciating the Palisade’s comfortable, well-equipped nature and the sense that it delivers lasting value. The expert review also describes it as an excellent value with strong warranty coverage and roadside assistance, which supports confidence in day-to-day ownership.

The performance notes reinforce that it feels well sorted and easy to live with, with the transmission working smoothly and the AWD system handling traction changes well. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that poor fuel economy can make ongoing running costs less appealing than the ownership experience itself.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Palisade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Palisade is offered in Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy trims. The Ultimate Calligraphy adds a more luxurious interior with an artificial suede headliner, quality upholstery, metal speaker grilles, striped dashboard and door trim, and wireless charging, while the Urban is the more straightforward choice.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Palisade uses a 3.8-litre V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD in Canada. It offers strong acceleration, 2,268 kilograms of towing capacity, and 20.3 centimetres of ground clearance.
• Safety package: Hyundai’s driver-assistance suite includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a blind-spot view camera system, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, intersection assist, safe exit assist, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-seat reminder system. Highway Driving Assist is standard, and the Ultimate Calligraphy trim adds lane-change assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a rear-seat Quiet Mode. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but they require a cable connection; wireless charging is included only on the Ultimate Calligraphy trim.
• Fuel efficiency: According to Natural Resources Canada, the AWD Palisade should consume 11.1 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving. In testing, it averaged 15.0 L/100 km in Comfort mode.

Which 2024 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 2 trim levels: Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• Urban: This is the better-value choice if you want the Palisade’s core strengths — space, standard AWD, strong safety equipment, and the full-size 12.3-inch tech setup — without paying for the most luxurious touches.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the trim to choose if you want the most upscale version, with the richer interior materials, wireless charging, and lane-change assist. It suits you best if you want the Palisade to feel as premium as possible.

The Ultimate Calligraphy is the trim that adds the most luxury and convenience, while the standard safety package is already generously equipped across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Palisade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 422 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,891 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Palisade's resale value?

The current average of $42,925 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,434 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make resale a little tougher for current owners in the short term. If you plan to sell later, the softer pricing means you may need to be more competitive to stand out. On the other hand, the Palisade’s strong reputation for value, comfort, and equipment should help support demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2024 Palisade earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and earns five-star ratings for side-impact collisions and four-star rollover resistance from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai equips it with a broad safety suite that includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a blind-spot view camera system, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, intersection assist, safe exit assist, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-seat reminder system. Highway Driving Assist is standard, pairing adaptive cruise control with curve speed control and lane-centring assist.

One caveat is that the IIHS rating does not reflect the SUV’s performance in the newer moderate overlap frontal-impact test for rear occupant safety. NHTSA frontal crash results are also incomplete.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines a refreshed, upscale feel with strong value and a roomy, family-friendly layout.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,855 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $42,925 CAD average.
• It adds a facelift and more standard and optional tech and safety features.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $48,022 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $42,925 CAD average.
• It remains a well-rounded, roomy three-row SUV with improved styling, technology, and packaging.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value, features, and current-market pricing, the 2024 is the sweet spot. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter bargain; if you want the newest version and can pay more, the 2025 is still worth a look.
