Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 24.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 90 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,606 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric's resale value?

The current average of $32,330 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,228 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 24.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $37,170 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $32,330 CAD average.
• It adds fresh styling and more features.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2024 if you want the better value right now, especially with prices down and a meaningful share of deal-priced listings. Consider the 2025 if you’re willing to pay more for the newer model’s updated styling and feature set; if you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 is the more compelling buy.
