Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 85 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.21% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,594 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric's resale value?

The current average of $31,753 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,364 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably today, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying closer to the lower end of the range can help protect your equity. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $37,010 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $31,753 CAD average.
• It adds fresh styling and more value-focused features.

The bottom line:
The 2024 is the better starting point if you want a lower average price and a market with some deal availability. If you want the newer model’s styling and feature updates, the 2025 is the better fit, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find stronger value in the 2024.
