How much does the 2024 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 8.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 124 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating, the 2024 Honda Ridgeline looks like a strong fit if you want a truck that is comfortable, easy to use, and practical for everyday life. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise its comfort, spaciousness, user-friendly features, and attractive pricing compared with other trucks. In use, that lines up well with the Ridgeline’s role as a more approachable midsize truck for daily driving and light-duty chores.

The main trade-offs are the irritating transmission and unimpressive towing capacity, and some owners also mention climate control and CarPlay frustrations. Even so, if you value a truck that feels easy to live with rather than one built for hard-core work, this year’s Ridgeline makes sense.

With 25.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the Ridgeline as comfortable, spacious, user-friendly, and attractive on price, which points to a vehicle that people can live with day after day. The expert evaluation also highlights its creamy smooth powertrain, quiet cab, and easy road manners, all of which support a dependable ownership experience.

Honda’s robust V6 engine is also presented as a strength in real-world use, and the truck’s practical layout adds to its long-term appeal. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about accepting its towing and off-road limits.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2024 Ridgeline comes in Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition. The Sport is the most affordable and now gets the updated 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and the standard Honda Sensing suite, plus blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. TrailSport adds an off-road suspension, all-terrain tyres, underbody protection, and exclusive styling touches, while Black Edition adds the most premium tech and audio equipment.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 280-horsepower 3.5-litre V6 with a nine-speed automatic and torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. It is smooth and quick for daily driving, but towing capacity is limited and off-road geometry is not especially strong.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. The Sport also gains blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert for 2024.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, HondaLink connected services, and a seven-speaker stereo. The Black Edition adds HD Radio, extra USB ports, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 11.6 L/100 km combined, or 11.5 L/100 km for non-TrailSport models.

Which 2024 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 3 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the best-value choice if you want the updated Ridgeline experience without paying for extras you may not need. It gets the full 2024 infotainment upgrade, wireless smartphone features, and the expanded safety equipment, making it the smartest starting point for most shoppers.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the most rugged-looking and most off-road-focused Ridgeline in the lineup. It adds the off-road suspension, all-terrain tyres, and underbody protection, but it is still best viewed as the adventurous trim rather than a true hard-core off-roader.
• Black Edition: Pick this if you want the most upscale version, with the extra audio and connectivity equipment. It is the top trim, but the value case is strongest if those premium touches matter to you.

The Sport now benefits from the key 2024 tech and safety upgrades, while the TrailSport is the trim that most clearly reflects this year’s changes.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 124 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,442 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $47,658 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,312 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy now, you are entering at a lower average price than last year, which can help reduce depreciation pressure later. The Ridgeline’s practical reputation should help support demand, but its resale strength will still depend on condition, trim, and mileage.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline earns an Acceptable score instead of Good in the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact test, and the IIHS rates its headlights as Marginal. It earns five-star ratings across the board except for rollover resistance, where it scores a four-star rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. For 2024, the Sport also gets blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, which were previously reserved for higher trims.

The main caveat is that the Ridgeline’s IIHS results show its age, especially in the small overlap frontal test and headlight performance. The driver-assistance tech works, but it can feel a bit intrusive in traffic.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 adds a new TrailSport trim, updated tech, and more standard safety equipment.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,716 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,658 CAD average.
• It is a practical daily driver with strong comfort and versatility.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $51,391 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,658 CAD average.
• It carries over the Ridgeline’s easy-to-live-with character with standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Ridgeline, the 2024 is the better target because it brings meaningful updates without a big price jump. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 makes sense only if you find a specific listing that justifies the higher asking price.
