Is the 2024 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many buyers, especially those who value the Pilot’s spaciousness and long-term practicality. The strongest reliability takeaway is that owners tend to count on it as a family hauler that delivers useful space and features without much drama. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some examples may show the usual wear-and-tear concerns that come with a busy family SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 184 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $49,126 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $49,126 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,936 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Pilot easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you purchase at a strong price, you may have a better chance of protecting your equity later. The model’s broad family appeal and practical layout should help keep demand steady among used SUV shoppers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $48,064 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $49,126 CAD average.
• It brings a newly redesigned, more rugged look with added convenience.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $54,936 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $49,126 CAD average.
• It keeps the formula simple with standard AWD and practical seating flexibility.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around path if you want a well-liked, well-priced Pilot with decent deal availability. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense only if you want to pay more for the newer model year.
