New & Used 2026 Honda Pilot for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot a good car?

The 2026 Honda Pilot earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It remains a strong fit if you want a family-focused midsize three-row SUV with a practical layout, lots of passenger room, and generous cargo space. The updated look gives it a more truck-like presence, but the underlying formula stays familiar, which is a plus if you already like the Pilot’s easy-to-live-with character.

The main trade-off is straightforward: there is no hybrid option. Fuel efficiency is also a relative weak point versus hybrid rivals, so you should look elsewhere if that is your top priority.

With 23.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot reliable?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is presented as a familiar, carryover design, which generally supports confidence for used buyers who want a proven family SUV. Its unchanged structure and familiar powertrain help reinforce that sense of continuity.

The V6 is described as responsive and more confident-sounding than a four-cylinder engine, and the Pilot’s driving behaviour is calm and predictable rather than fussy. That kind of consistency is usually what you want in a long-term family vehicle.

For ownership, the biggest risk is not mechanical complexity so much as the lack of a more efficient alternative, which can make running costs less appealing over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin and exterior are broadly similar across the lineup, but higher trims add more visual polish and equipment. The top trims bring unique seat quilting, synthetic suede, contrast stitching, and a more distinctive centre-console and door-panel trim treatment. The base Sport is the most stripped-back version, while the EX-L should satisfy many shoppers with its removable second-row seat and front-row leather seats.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses the same 3.5-litre V6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It delivers 285 horsepower and is described as adequately quick, with confident passing power and a muted engine note.
• Safety package: All trims include the Honda Sensing suite, with forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel on every trim. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system runs Honda’s latest software. A wireless phone charger is not standard on the lower trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pilot is estimated at 11 L/100 km combined in Sport and EX-L trims, 11.2 L/100 km combined in Touring and Black Edition trims, and 11.8 L/100 km combined in TrailSport configuration.

Which 2026 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Pilot formula with the standard V6, AWD, and the full Honda Sensing safety suite. It is the value play if you want the basics without paying for extras.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It adds front-row leather seats and a removable second-row seat, making it the most appealing choice if you want a more upscale and flexible family setup.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the Pilot’s more rugged character and its decent off-road abilities. It is the outlier in the lineup for shoppers who want a bit more capability.
• Touring: This trim adds a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate. It is a comfort-focused upgrade, but the price jump is harder to justify unless you really want those extras.
• Black Edition: This is the top trim, with the most distinctive appearance and premium presentation. It is for buyers who want the most fully dressed Pilot.

All Pilot trims come with the Honda Sensing suite, while all but the base Sport also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings rather than rushing.

• Inventory: There are 132 listings available.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot safe?

The 2026 Honda Pilot had no published crash-test results from NHTSA or IIHS at the time of writing, but it is described as structurally unchanged and expected to perform similarly to the previous model year’s strong results.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

All Pilot trims come with the Honda Sensing suite of safety features, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport model also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

One caveat is that the forward collision warning can be a bit too sensitive, and lane-departure warning can also be sensitive if you drift near the lane markings.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• It keeps the Pilot’s familiar formula while adding a more truck-like look and larger standard screens.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It is roomy, practical, and easy to live with, with standard AWD in Canada.

The bottom line: The 2026 is the better pick if you want the updated look and tech while keeping the Pilot’s proven family-friendly layout. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 remains a sensible alternative because it delivers the same core strengths with a simpler, familiar setup.
