Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Odyssey earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a family minivan that prioritises practicality, with a roomy and flexible cabin, strong family-friendly equipment, and a comfort-focused driving character. In Canada, its standard equipment also makes it easy to live with for daily family use, especially if you value convenience and seating flexibility. With 28.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Odyssey’s appeal is tied to Honda’s emphasis on structure and refinement, along with its established comfort-and-durability reputation. It also keeps a straightforward formula with front-wheel drive and a proven V6 layout, which should suit buyers who want a familiar, easygoing family vehicle. That said, early examples of this generation drew complaints for electrical glitches, infotainment issues, and transmission problems, so a careful inspection and maintenance review still matter for used buyers.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 193 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,615 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $47,749 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,186 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more favourably now but may also temper near-term resale gains. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your future return will depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Strong equipment and broad family appeal should still help keep demand steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $50,968 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,749 CAD average.
• It adds a new digital driver display and updated infotainment.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary choice if you want the stronger value proposition and are focused on family practicality at a lower average price. If you want newer tech and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the secondary path to consider, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2024 easier to justify.
