Used 2024 Chevrolet Suburban for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Suburban cost?

Prices are up 1.65% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 71 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Suburban a good car?

The 2024 Chevrolet Suburban earns an 7.5/10 expert rating, and it is aimed squarely at you if you need a body-on-frame hauler with serious passenger, cargo, and towing utility.

The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.

Its biggest strengths are straightforward: Massively useful cargo capacity, excellent powertrain options, and great towing capability. The 2021 redesign’s independent rear suspension also helps make the third row more usable than before, which matters if you regularly carry people and their gear.

The trade-offs are just as clear. V8s are not fuel-efficient, and the cabin technology is underwhelming for the price.

With 32.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop carefully rather than rush.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Suburban reliable?

The 2024 Chevrolet Suburban is built around a proven body-on-frame formula, and the expert assessment points to a vehicle that is capable and well suited to heavy-duty family use.

Its powertrain lineup is described as strong, and the diesel is singled out as smooth, quick to settle into, and well managed by the 10-speed automatic. That combination suggests the Suburban’s mechanical package is designed for long-haul work rather than short-term novelty.

For ownership, the main risk is that this is a large, expensive SUV with thirsty gas engines, so long-term running costs can add up quickly if you do not need its full capability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Suburban?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is the only trim with cloth seats and the 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add leather upholstery and a 10.2-inch display. The top trims also bring more upscale cabin materials, but some equipment still costs extra even there.
• Powertrain: You can choose among a 5.3-litre V8, a 6.2-litre V8, and a Duramax 3.0-litre turbodiesel six-cylinder. The diesel is the expert favourite for its smoothness and stronger fuel economy.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, front and rear park assist, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, and Teen Driver are standard. Rear cross-traffic alert is available on lower trims and standard on higher ones.
• Infotainment: The 10.2-inch touchscreen is standard on all but the LS, and the system includes Google Built-in plus wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The LS uses an 8-inch screen.
• Fuel efficiency: The V8s are not fuel-efficient, while the diesel delivers significantly better fuel economy than the eight-cylinder options.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Suburban trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Suburban is offered in 6 trim levels: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Suburban’s core strengths: huge space, standard driver-assistance features, and the utility that makes the model worthwhile. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup and can live with the simpler cabin and smaller screen.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more polished feel without jumping all the way to the expensive upper end. It is the trim to focus on if you want a more comfortable daily driver while staying mindful of price.
• RST: Choose this if you want a sportier appearance and a more distinctive look while staying within the mainstream part of the lineup.
• Z71: This is the trim to consider if you want the more rugged-leaning version of the Suburban and plan to use its capability more seriously.
• Premier: This is where the Suburban starts to feel properly upscale, with more luxury-oriented equipment and access to advanced tech options.
• High Country: This is the top trim, with the most premium presentation and the broadest equipment list, but it also pushes the price deep into luxury territory.

The Premier and High Country trims can be equipped with Super Cruise as part of the Advanced Technology Package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Suburban?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you should shop carefully and be ready to move when you find the right listing.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 71 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.65% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $70,857 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Suburban's resale value?

The current average of $72,878 CAD sits slightly above last year's $71,694 CAD.

That modest increase suggests the Suburban has held value reasonably well for a large SUV in this segment. For you as a future seller, that can be a positive sign if you buy carefully and keep mileage and condition in check.

The price trend also shows that demand has remained steady enough to support values, even with a new model year on the horizon. If you own one, that should help cushion depreciation compared with a vehicle that is falling more sharply in price.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Suburban safe?

The 2024 Chevrolet Suburban earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side-crash tests from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, front and rear park assist, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, and Teen Driver. Rear cross-traffic alert is available on lower trims and standard on higher ones.

The main caveat is the rollover result, which is lower than the side-crash score and worth keeping in mind given the Suburban’s size and height.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Suburban or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.65% year-over-year.
• The 2024 still delivers the spacious, utility-first package that makes the Suburban special.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $85,231 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $72,878 CAD average.
• The 2025 brings a much better infotainment setup and a refreshed interior.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the better value and can live with its weaker tech. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter buy; if you care most about the updated cabin experience, it is worth stretching to the 2025.
