Is the 2024 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 BMW X3 earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal comes from a sporty feel, premium character, and engaging driving dynamics that make it feel more like a regular car than an SUV. It also keeps the practical advantages you expect from this body style, including a high seating position and easy access, while staying a more affordable alternative to BMW’s larger SUV. For you, that means a luxury SUV that balances agility with everyday usability.

The model’s broader appeal is reinforced by its polished mix of performance, upscale feel, and practicality. 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 BMW X3 is described as a model that has consistently blended strong powertrains, high-quality interiors, and advanced technology for its time. It also benefits from improved interior quality, better performance than earlier models, and features such as LED headlights, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, adaptive suspension, and automatic climate control.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that premium vehicles can bring higher maintenance and repair costs than non-luxury alternatives.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X3?

It looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 408 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $46,518 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $47,593 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,270 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if values continue to ease. If you plan to resell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on condition, mileage, and service history to protect value. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a premium SUV with a sporty feel.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $61,124 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,593 CAD average.
• The redesign brings a more distinctive minimalist cabin and updated technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2024 is the stronger buy because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If you care more about the redesigned look and updated cabin approach, the 2025 is the pricier alternative worth considering.
