Used 2024 BMW X2 for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2024 BMW X2 cost?

Prices have softened 11.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 85 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 BMW X2 a good car?

The 2024 BMW X2 earns a 7.33/10 from our experts.

The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

It stands out as BMW’s most affordable Sports Activity Coupe, and its coupe-like shape gives you a sportier look without giving up much passenger room or cargo space versus the X1. The trade-offs are clear, though: the styling may be polarising, the ergonomics are poor, and cargo space is limited. The xDrive28i is also the less engaging choice if you care about driving fun, while the M35i is the more appealing option for buyers who want more performance character.

With 27.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market offers a decent number of attractive opportunities.

Is the 2024 BMW X2 reliable?

The 2024 BMW X2 is presented as a new model with standard all-wheel drive and a strong safety package, which supports confidence for everyday use. BMW’s expert evaluation also notes that the driver aids generally work as advertised, and the vehicle’s standard equipment includes useful parking and collision-avoidance technology.

BMW’s standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, active blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, semi-autonomous parking assist, and a semi-autonomous backup assist system. The available Advanced Driving Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keep and lane-centring assist, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, emergency stop assist, and Traffic Jam Assistant with hands-free driving on selected limited-access highways at speeds under 65 km/h.

BMW also includes a first scheduled maintenance visit at no charge.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright dependability and more about living with the X2’s complex controls and the possibility that its advanced driver-assistance features may not feel as seamless in every situation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X2?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The xDrive28i is the entry point, while the M35i is the more powerful choice. The xDrive28i is the one most clearly described as lacking the dynamism expected of a BMW, so you should pay close attention to whether the cheaper trim gives you enough performance for your needs.
• Powertrain: Both versions use a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and standard xDrive all-wheel drive. The xDrive28i makes 241 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the M35i makes 312 horsepower and the same torque at higher revs. The xDrive28i is also described as lacking oomph, and the transmission can seem unrefined at times.
• Safety package: BMW’s standard safety suite includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, active blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, semi-autonomous parking assist, and a semi-autonomous backup assist system. The available Advanced Driving Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keep and lane-centring assist, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, emergency stop assist, and Traffic Jam Assistant.
• Infotainment: The BMW Curved Display combines a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel with a 10.7-inch touchscreen running BMW Operating System 9. Standard BMW Live Cockpit Plus adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cloud-based navigation, SiriusXM 360L Platinum Plan, and a conversational Intelligent Personal Assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: The xDrive28i is estimated at 8.5 L/100 km in combined driving, while the M35i is estimated at 8.9 L/100 km in combined driving. In testing, the xDrive28i M Sport averaged 11.2 L/100 km.

Which 2024 BMW X2 trim should I buy?

The 2024 BMW X2 is offered in 2 trim levels: xDrive28i and M35i.

Here's the short version:

• xDrive28i: This is the value-oriented choice if you want the X2’s styling, standard all-wheel drive, strong technology, and safety equipment without stretching to the pricier performance model. It gives you the core X2 experience, but it is also the trim most clearly criticised for lacking driving excitement.
• M35i: This is the trim to choose if you want the X2 to feel more like a BMW should. It is the more powerful version and the one our experts recommend for maximum driving fun, making it the better pick if performance matters more than saving money.

BMW’s standard safety package is already strong, and the available Advanced Driving Assistance Package adds the most comprehensive driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X2?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some confidence if you know what trim and price you want.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 85 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.29% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $46,357 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X2's resale value?

The current average of $47,003 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,982 CAD.

That price movement suggests the X2 has become more approachable for used buyers than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from the softer market, but a future seller should expect less upside than someone who bought when prices were higher. The current range also suggests that well-priced examples can still move quickly if they are clean and well equipped.

Is the 2024 BMW X2 safe?

The 2024 BMW X2 has already earned a Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

BMW equips the X2 with standard forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, active blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, semi-autonomous parking assist, and a semi-autonomous backup assist system. The available Advanced Driving Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keep and lane-centring assist, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, emergency stop assist, and Traffic Jam Assistant with hands-free driving on selected limited-access highways at speeds under 65 km/h.

A key caveat is that the standard driver-assistance setup does not include the full adaptive cruise and lane-centring functionality unless you move up to the available package.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X2 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.29% compared with last year.
• The 2024 BMW X2’s redesigned shape, strong technology, and top-tier safety score matter more to you than absolute driving excitement.

The bottom line: If you want the newest X2 with the strongest mix of safety, technology, and market softness, the 2024 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the broader used market and focus on the best-equipped example you can find, because the current pricing spread gives you room to be selective.
